The Razdan family is currently going through a lot of pain, as the head of the family, Narendranath Razdan passed away on June 1, 2023. The father of veteran actress, Soni Razdan and the maternal grandfather of famous Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt, Narendranath Razdan has bid farewell to the mortal world. The reports of his demise were confirmed by his doting daughter, Soni Razdan after she shared a heartbreaking post on her social media handle a few minutes ago.
On June 1, 2023, Soni Razdan took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of her father, Narendranath Razdan. However, this time, some text was also written below the smiling photo of her doting father. The heartbreaking text can be read as “Narendranath Razdan. Avid Golfer. Music Lover. Light of our lives. 16th June 1928 - 1st June 2023”.

The actress’ emotional post confirmed that, unfortunately, just a few days before his birthday, Narendranath Razdan passed away. Soni Razdan penned a long note in the caption along with the picture. In her heartbreaking note, Soni referred to her dearest father as daddy, grandpa and nindi, which means 'angel of our lives'.
Further, in the note, Soni also thanked her daddy for nurturing her life and always being a gentle and vibrant soul. Not only this, the doting daughter also admitted that her father had taken a piece of her with himself. An excerpt from her emotional note can be read as:
"You have taken a piece of us with you but we will never be parted with your spirit. It inhabits us all and will remind us always of what it truly means to be alive."
Soon after Soni Razdan’s Instagram post revealing the heartbreaking news of her father, Narendranath Razdan’s demise, it was her daughter, Alia Bhatt, who shared her thoughts about the same tragedy. The doting granddaughter shared a rare video of her grandfather with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, from the former’s 92nd birthday. In the video, Ranbir can arrange things before Alia’s grandfather cuts the cake.

In the video, Narendranath Razdan can be heard advising everyone to smile more often. The valuable and beautiful advice received a loud cheer from Alia Bhatt and others. Along with the priceless video, the actress also penned a note in the caption in which she shared the pain of losing her grandfather. Alia admitted that her heart is full of sorrow but also shared how she will remember her grandfather with a smile as he has always made people happy. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"My heart is full of sorrow but also full of joy .. because all my grandpa did is give us joy & for that feel blessed and grateful to have been brought up by all the light he had to give!"
