And our belief got stronger when Alia Bhatt found her one true love in her forever crush, Ranbir Kapoor. Back in the year 2014, Alia had talked about her age-old crush, Ranbir on the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan. She had said, “I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, 'Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him'. And I spoke so much rubbish. I was just talking non-stop, and he was like, 'Yeah, that's very nice, Alia' Obviously, I have hung out with him after that, and I still think he is really adorable. And I still want to marry him.”
And as they say, true love finds its way, indeed, it came true for Alia in the year 2018, when she first collaborated with Ayan Mukherji for Brahmastra opposite Ranbir. It not only resulted in amazing on-screen chemistry but also our favourite Tinseltown love story. While we patiently wait for them to get hitched, the love-birds have flown to Europe to spend some quality time together away from the media glare. According to a recent report in Filmfare, Alia and Ranbir are currently enjoying their ‘me-time’ in Europe. The report states, “Both of them have been keeping extremely busy and were planning a holiday for a while now. This looked like the perfect time and Ranbir and Alia will soon be off to Lake Como as they love its scenic beauty. The two plan to go see various places across Europe. Post this holiday, they will get back to work.”
While we eagerly wait for their vacation pictures, remember how a few weeks ago Alia had revealed that she had pleaded Ayan Mukherji to cast her opposite Ranbir. In an interview with Firstpost, Alia had stated, “The idea for Brahmastra was conceived long back when Ayan had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him.”
She had further stated, “With Ranbir, it is a completely different experience because I have always admired him. He is my favourite actor since he made his debut. He will always remain my favourite because he is so honest and effortless. When I set to work with him, I was thinking that I will understand his process of acting, but there’s no process. He is like me, he acts in front of the camera, and suddenly off camera, he is seen eating chocolates, or chatting, wanting to know what is the gossip for the day.
