Recently, on the demise of Ranbir Kapoor’s father, veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor, Alia was standing like a rock right by the side of the Kapoor family. Alia was amongst the first few people to reach the hospital and from last rites to puja in Banganga, she had stood by the family. Not just with immediate family, Alia shares a close bond with Ranbir’s cousins, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Much before Alia began dating, Ranbir, the actress had worked with his cousins, Karisma and Kareena in a magazine photoshoot.
On May 11, 2020, ace designer, Manish Malhotra took to his Instagram handle to share a throwback picture of Alia Bhatt with Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin sisters, Karisma and Kareena from a five-year-old Vogue photoshoot. In the picture, all three ladies look gorgeous with Manish posing standing on a staircase in his black hoodie and blue jeans. The actresses looked royal in the shades of golden. While Alia can be seen wearing a sequenced plunging neck gown, Kareena looks like wearing a bell-sleeved, boat neck sequenced gown, and Karisma can be seen wearing a bustier with a golden skirt. The photoshoot celebrated Manish’s 25 years in the film industry. Coming back to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s love story, when Alia had won the Filmfare Best Actress award for her performance in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, the actress had accepted her award by confessing her love for her beau, Ranbir. Alia had gone up on the stage and had said, "Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you Ranbir," while Ranbir could not stop smiling. When in an interview, Alia was asked if it was an announcement of sorts? To this Alia had responded, "That was not an announcement. He had further talked about the feeling of new love and had stated, "It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again — you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more.
