Alia Bhatt won Filmfare Best Actress award for Raazi. After accepting her award, Alia Bhatt said 'I love you' to Ranbir Kapoor from the stage. The 'Kalank' actress has now commented on the same.
Both are supremely talented and have achieved superstardom at a young age. When it comes to acting on celluloid, there is no one like them, and almost all the celebrities who recently appeared on Koffee with Karan season 6, admitted the same. Some of them wanted a career graph like Alia Bhatt and many said that Ranbir Kapoor is the most versatile actor of our generation. And guess what? Today, both of them are head-over-heels in love with each other. Did their Brahmastra director, Ayan Mukerji play Cupid between Ranbir and Alia, or was it the movie itself? Well, whatever the truth be, rumours are rife that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are soon going to take the nuptial plunge. Alia Bhatt featured on the April cover for the Filmfare magazine, along with her Kalank co-star, Varun Dhawan. During a tête-à-tête with the magazine, Alia Bhatt was asked about her rumoured 2020 wedding with Ranbir Kapoor and her April roka with the Kapoor khandaan ka chiraag. To this, the Raazi actress wittily replied, "The only ‘Roka’ I’m going to is the restaurant in London. There’s no roka happening for me. And why are you putting a year to my marriage?"
Alia Bhatt recently won the Filmfare Best Actress award for her performance in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi. A video of the same, wherein Alia can be seen accepting her award, has surfaced online, and she has confessed her love for her beau, Ranbir Kapoor. While the big screen was boasting Ranbir's smiling face, Alia was on the stage saying, "Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you Ranbir." Take a look:
Now, in an interview, Alia Bhatt was asked if it was an announcement of sorts? To this Alia responded, "That was not an announcement. And I don’t need to defend what I did because it was very personal." The 26-year-old actress also opened up about her character in Kalank and was quoted as saying, "It is a wonderful role, probably my most challenging till date because the way Roop deals with situations in her life is very different from the way I would. Her body language was also unfamiliar and so did not come naturally to me. If it works, Kalank will be an important film for me in my journey through Hindi cinema."
Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is all set to hit the silver screens on April 17, 2019. Alia further added, "For me, as an actress, it’s interesting to be a part of an ensemble cast. For the audience too, it’s been a while since we had an ensemble film where every character has his or her own backstory and graph. It’s always lovely to work with Varun as we enjoy a certain comfort level. We understand each other, even take each other for granted, but also feed off each other’s passion. Kalank was my first film with Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) and it has been an honest give-and-take equation. Working with Madhuri ma’am and Sanjay sir was the stuff dreams are made of. And Sona and I had a lovely time on the shoot, she is a fine actor, so effortless (sic)." (Also Read: Ajay Devgn Lashes Out At Haters Who Trolled Daughter Nysa For One Of Her Airport Looks)
Coming back to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the Udta Punjab actress also shared with Filmfare magazine if Ranbir Kapoor is a difficult person. She retorted, "When I met him for the first time in my life. Again, let me tell you he’s not difficult. He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, like everything. He’s way better a person than I am. And about getting married? Well, that’s the only thing that’s irritating right now. Every morning I wake up to the news that I’m getting married. I tell him what the hell. I guess he’s used to it."
Alia Bhatt had shared in another interview sometime earlier about her equation with Ranbir Kapoor. She had said, "No. It’s not a relationship. It’s friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals, who are living our own professional lives in its full form right now. He’s shooting continuously. So am I. It’s not a situation where you’ll see us constantly together. That’s the true mark of a comfortable relationship. Nazar na lage. In fact, there’s a beautiful book titled My Brilliant Friend. Ranbir’s my brilliant friend." (Suggested Read: Janhvi Kapoor Has No Issues In Repeating Her Outfit, Reveals A Valid Reason Behind It)
