Alia Bhatt recently revealed the lessons that she learned about life after becoming a mother to Raha Kapoor.
Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt is donning multiple hats these days. She is not only one of the most talented and versatile actors of her generation but has also established herself as a global fashion icon and successful entrepreneur. Now, the 32-year-old star has embraced yet another role—that of a devoted, hands-on mother. Alia and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022, and the couple has been doting parents ever since. Recently, Alia opened up about how motherhood has profoundly transformed her life.
In a recent chat with Harper’s Bazaar India, Alia Bhatt shared insights into how parenting her daughter, Raha, has helped change her perspective on patience. The actress revealed that becoming a mother has changed her in ways she never expected. Talking about the lessons that she learned after having Raha, Alia revealed:
“If I had to pick one, I’d say patience—something I never really had before. And love, in its simplest, purest form.”
Further into the interview, Alia revealed how Raha has helped her understand that sometimes, being present at the moment is all that it takes to savour its beauty. While adults continuously worry about the next big thing, children enjoy just being present. She shared:
“But with her (Raha), I’ve learned that sometimes, just being present is enough. She’s not overthinking — she’s just there, ready to give you a hug. That kind of simplicity is a lesson in itself.”
On March 13, 2025, Alia and Ranbir arranged a meet-and-greet session with paparazzi, ahead of her 32nd birthday. Recently, the actress deleted photos containing Raha’s face from her social media. Speaking with the paparazzi, the couple requested them not to click any pictures of Raha without permission. Explaining the reason behind this, Ranbir addressed the gathering and said:
“It might sound like a privileged problem; I understand that. But we are trying as parents, how much we can do to protect our child. Jitna kar sakte karenge. Today, anybody with a camera phone can do anything and post it and spread it like wildfire.”
Professionally, the power couple is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film, Love & War, co-starring Vicky Kaushal. The romantic musical drama is slated for release on March 20, 2026. Meanwhile, Alia is also leading a spy universe film named Alpha under the banner of YRF, set to hit the theatres in Christmas 2025.
