Alia Bhatt reacted as the soon-to-be mom, Deepika Padukone faced online trolling over her baby bump during her recent appearance.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are leading the best phase of their lives. The duo, who has been riding high on their professional front, is soon going to be parents. Ever since Deepika announced the news of her pregnancy, her fans have been eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of their favourite actress.
Deepika was recently papped in the city as she stepped out to cast her vote along with her husband, Ranveer Singh. Dressed in a loose white shirt and capri, Deepika looked stunning. The soon-to-be mom was also seen flaunting her cute baby bump. However, as soon as pictures and videos of the actress surfaced online, a section of social media users posted nasty comments and even called her baby bump fake. One user wrote, "She is not pregnant. This is embarrassing." While another commented, “Chal kiu rahi esyyy abi itna b baby bump bahar nai aya."

As the actress was unnecessarily trolled by faceless people on the internet, a senior journalist, Faye D’Souza, took to social media and penned a strong note in support of the actress. As soon as Faye shared the post, Alia was quick to like it along with her sisters, Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt. Faye’s post can be read as:
“Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.”

Despite Deepika Padukone’s dating history with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt maintains a cordial bond with her. During her earlier conversation with Karan Johar on his chat show, Koffee With Karan 7, Alia Bhatt talked about maintaining a good rapport with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor’s exes, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. During the rapid-fire round, Karan asked Alia what tag would suit her the best, "How to be best friends with your exes" or "How to be friends with your boyfriend's exes". To this, she mentioned:
“I think I know how to stay friends with my partner’s ex. I am very good friends with his exes. I love them both.”
On February 29, 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to their respective IG handles and shared a collaborative post to announce their 'good news'. The couple left their entire fanbase emotional as they revealed that they were going to be parents soon. The photo featured cute drawings of baby stuff, including a bib, shoes, hat, button, and clothes. Atop the picture, the couple penned a note and revealed that their baby will arrive in September 2024.
