Alia Bhatt retrospected about her parents, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan's difficult journeys and their career choices.
Alia Bhatt is one of the stellar actresses in the current generation of Bollywood. The diva has cemented her name not just in Indian cinema, but has also paved her way globally, be it through her Hollywood film or being the face of international brands. Despite coming from a film family, Alia has paved her way forward towards fame and recognition through her own hard-earned merit. For the unversed, she is the daughter of filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt and actress, Soni Razdan. And recently, she revealed some candid anecdotes concerning her parents.
In an interview with Elle US, Alia Bhatt talked about her privileges, since she belongs from a well-off film family. Nevertheless, the diva remarked how life hadn’t been quite smooth for her all the time. She spoke of her father and eminent filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt, and remarked how, at one point of time, he used to battle neck deep with alcoholism. Alia added that things worsened when her father suffered financial crisis, after delivering an array of flop films at the box-office.

Moving forth in the conversation, Alia Bhatt talked about her mother, Soni Razdan, who is not just a talented actress but also a theatre thespian. Talking about the latter, the talented diva stated that her mother had experiences over multiple forms of acting and enactment, thereby pulling off versatility like no other. Furthermore, Alia Bhatt stated that her mother’s exemplary talents and commitment towards work impacted her profoundly.
Apart from her professional feat, Alia Bhatt is enjoying every bit of her personal life at the moment. For the unversed, the diva is married to Ranbir Kapoor and the duo is parents to their daughter, Raha Kapoor. In an interview with CNBC TV News18, Alia opened up about witnessing changes in her life and personality, post embracing motherhood. Talking about shedding an advice or two about parenting, she stated:
“I steer away from giving parenting advice because I feel everybody’s journey is different. I come from a position of privilege where I can afford help if I am not available.”

Previously, during a media interaction for her produced film, Poacher in London, Alia Bhatt took a jibe at her husband, Ranbir Kapoor’s frequent label about she being a loud person by nature. Referring to it indirectly, Alia stated how she faces frequent criticism on being ‘loud’ by her personality and said:
“So in the past, I have been told that I speak very loudly, so you can say that I am a very good loudspeaker for this show."
