In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt recalled the initial days of her career and opened how about how her priorities have changed post-embracing motherhood.
Alia Bhatt made her debut in Bollywood with the film, Student Of The Year, in 2012. Since then, she has never looked back. Instead, she worked hard and became one of the most bankable actresses in the industry. On the work front, she will be next seen in her upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Ranveer Singh. Apart from being an exceptional actress, she is also a loving wife to Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor and a doting mommy to their princess, Raha Kapoor. Now, in an interview, Alia opened up about how her priorities at work have changed because of her motherhood journey.
In an interview with Femina, Alia Bhatt recalled the time when she used to sacrifice anything for work. Not only that, she had sleepless nights and continuous work schedules and many more, Alia was once willing to do every sort of hardship to make a place in the industry. However, now after completing a decade in the field of acting, she revealed that her priorities have changed. Sharing that now she has a family and wants to dedicate a segregated time for them, she said:
“As I cross a decade in cinema, my life over the decade has also changed a lot. I think there was a time when I was willing to make sacrifices of all kinds – of sleep and time with my family – and just continuously work and shoot. Now I have a family. I have a daughter. I have a husband. I also feel like all these 10 years, this time I did not spend with my parents, with my sister, with my friends – I want to be able to do that.”

In the same interview, Alia talked about the balance she maintains in her life now, post-embracing motherhood. The actress gave an example of how she loves to disconnect herself from random things, when she has nothing to do. She added:
“And, of course, never give up working, but try and bring about some balance. So, yes, that is the decision that I’ve consciously taken and it includes being present. I feel like, very often, we might not be working, but we’re on the phone talking, figuring things out, you know, doing some random things. So, I also just find lots of balance by not looking at my phone if I have nothing to do. I try to do it. Sometimes I fail miserably, sometimes, I succeed."
At an event in Delhi, on July 12, 2023, Alia Bhatt shared that earlier it was not her dream to create the brand, Ed-a-Mama initially. But now, it has become her reality. Revealing the reason behind the brand is her daughter, Raha, the loving mommy also stated the most treasured moment for her. Alia revealed that when she sings a song or reads a book to her baby girl, Raha it is the most beautiful time for the actress.

On July 11, 2023, Alia Bhatt posted a YouTube video in which she shared a few behind-the-scenes from the shoot of the song, Tum Kya Mile. In the video, the actress also revealed that she was expected to return to the shape of her character, 'Rani,' four months after giving birth to her daughter, Raha. Alia also stated that she had to start slowly and carefully to lose postpartum weight.
