And yet the same happened again, as Alia showered her support to Bigg Boos OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav.
On August 16, 2023, Alia Bhatt hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session on her Instagram handle, where she tried to give answers to her fans' questions. One of the actress's fans asked her to say something about the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav. The question from the fan could be read as "Elvish Yadav k bare me kuch ho jaye". To this, Alia replied by penning 'Systummm'. It was Elvish, who reshared Alia's story and wrote "I Love You" atop it. Although netizens are more than happy to see Alia supporting Elvish, a certain section of netizens got irked by the same and started trolling the actress.

The screenshot of Alia Bhatt's story was shared on X (previously Twitter) by a user who wrote, "What a downfall for such talented actor". Not only on X, the screenshot of Alia Bhatt's story was also shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, where netizens started trolling the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress brutally.
Reacting to the photo, netizens started slamming Alia for supporting Elvish Yadav, whom they called 'misogynist'. While one user wrote, "Exactly. Alia is an adult with agency. Either she's supporting this guy for clout without bothering to do basic research or she's knowingly supporting a misogynist. Either way, ugh", another netizen commented, "This whole "systemmm" thing is sooo cringe yrr". A third comment can be read as "Alia supports a well-known misogynist without doing a basic Google search or both sisters are happy to knowingly support a vile misogynist. That says a lot...."
