Amaal Malik's dad, Daboo Malik dropped a post as a reaction to the singer's decision to cut ties with his family after his clinical depression diagnosis.
Amaal Malik is a famous music director, composer, singer, music producer, and lyricist. The singer is the elder son of Daboo Malik and Jyoti Malik, and the brother of famous Bollywood singer, Armaan Malik. It was on March 20, 2025, when Amaal took to his IG handle and shared a post, revealing that he decided to cut ties with his family. Although, he has deleted the post within a few hours, the gossip already begun. Recently, Amaal's father, Daboo reacted to the same.
Taking to his IG handle, Amaal Malik's father, Daboo Malik shared a photo with him. In the photo, Amaal could be seen giving a kiss on his father's cheek. Sharing the photo, Daboo captioned the post as 'I love you'. Reacting to the photo, netizens wished the dad-son duo happiness and encouraged them into believing that everything would be fine. For the unversed, earlier, Amaal's mom, Jyoti was asked about the same. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Jyoti said that she doesn't think that the media should be involved in all this, as whatever post he has put up was his choice.
Taking to his IG handle, Amaal Malik dropped picture notes, wherein he shared that over the years, he has been made to feel less. Amaal stated that he and his brother, Armaan had changed the scene from being introduced with the tags of acquaintances with famous persons. He also added that he has reached a point where his peace has been taken away from him and he feels emotionally and financially broken.
Amaal also mentioned that he has been clinically depressed by the actions of people who were close to him, and it made him feel like his soul was stolen. In the note, he further added that his parents' actions have distanced him from his brother, Armaan, which left him with no option but to take the step for himself as it left a deep scar in his soul. On the same note, Amaal revealed that he had decided to move forward, leaving behind the personal ties.
Amaal remarked that from now on, his interactions with his family will be only professional, and it's not a decision taken in a state of anger, but rather he is committed to rebuilding his life, and he wouldn't let his past affect his future. Amaal further requested the media portals not to harass his family members by any means, as it's a tough phase for him already and he loves his family much even from a distance.
