Ameesha Patel Reveals Anil Sharma Tried Hard To Promote His Son, Utkarsh Sharma In 'Gadar 2'

Bollywood actress, Ameesha Patel opened up about her complicated relationship with 'Gadar 2' filmmaker, Anil Sharma and made some shocking revelations about him.

Later, she went on to work in super hit films like Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Humraaz, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage and many more. Recently, Ameesha made her comeback on the silver screen with the film, Gadar 2 and she has been bagging immense success for the same. Moreover, Ameesha has been sharing several lesser-known anecdotes about the film industry. Her feud with the Gadar 2 director, Anil Sharma is not hidden from anyone and yet again, she made some shocking revelations about him.

Ameesha Patel talks about Anil Sharma, reveals he tried hard to promote his son, Utkarsh Sharma in Gadar 2

In the latest interview with News18, Ameesha Patel opened up about her differences with the Gadar 2 director, Anil Sharma. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that Anil Sharma tried hard to promote his son, Utkarsh Sharma in Gadar 2, however, he failed in doing so. For the unversed, Utkarsh played the role of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's onscreen son, 'Charanjeet'. Mentioning how she got Utkarsh in the film industry, Ameesha said:

"I feel bad for Anilji since he tried to push his son, Utkarsh a lot in Gadar 2, but eventually, Tara and Sakeena stole the limelight. Utkarsh is a very sweet boy, and I got him into the indutsry, and his father is very sweet to keep promoting him. Let's hope some bigwigs from the industry start signing Utkarsh as he's a sweet boy and no boy would like to only be signed by his dad."

In the same conversation, Ameesha mentioned that she and Anil Sharma had their share of differences even while doing Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. She also revealed that her character 'Sakeena' was created by the film writer, Shaktimanji, not Anil Sharma. Further, Ameesha stated that if she is offered Gadar 3, she would do it only if her character gets equal importance alongside Sunny Deol's character 'Tara'.

Ameesha reveals Anil Sharma made her delete her posts about pending dues

Further, in the same interview, Ameesha revealed that Anil Sharma asked her to delete tweets about the pending dues and Gadar 2 actress, Simratt Kaur. Talking about the same, the diva mentioned that Anil Sharma had requested her business partner to remove the tweets and she did that because she considers the director as her family. In her words:

"Regarding the pending dues, I had tweeted about them, which Anilji made me delete at his request. I have his chat as proof. He requested my business partner to delete the tweets and also tweets about Simratt Kaur and her explicit videos of adult films that went viral. I deleted them on his request since, like I said, Anilji is family to me."

When Ameesha Patel claimed several dues unpaid by filmmaker, Anil Sharma

In one of her previous social media revelations, Ameesha had taken to the social media handle, X (formerly known as Twitter) and called out the production team of Anil Sharma for Gadar 2. The actress mentioned that her dues and several other bills were left unpaid. Ameesha pointed out that not only her but any other crew member's dues were also not cleared by Anil Sharma's production team.
