In a candid interaction with eminent writer, Chetan Bhagat, Amit Sadh recalls having tried to reach out to late Sushant Singh Rajput before his death.
The unfortunate and tragic passing away of Sushant Singh Rajput left a heavy impact not just on the Hindi film industry but also on his countless fans and close friends, who could not simply accept the loss. And now, one of his close friends and actor, Amit Sadh, recalls having tried to reach out to him just before his passing away.
During a candid interaction session with eminent writer, Chetan Bhagat, Amit mentioned that his bonding with Sushant had been so much more than being co-actors; it was more deeply associated with feelings from his heart. Mentioning how he wished to reach out to him just before his passing away, Amit said:
“3-4 months before he passed away, I spoke to someone who knows him and I said mujhe uska number do, main koshish karunga, main jaake isse baat karta hun. We all were hearing things. And number hi nahi tha, he had shut himself according to that person."

The film, Kai Po Che was a path-breaker movie by all means, and it also happened to lay the foundation of one of the purest and fondest bonds of brotherhood between the titular actors, Amit, Sushant and Rajkummar. Recalling their friendship, Amit mentioned:
“Not that we were the best of friends but for that one and a half year, we were lovers, even Raj. I have so much love for Raj. If someone speaks ill of Rajkummar or Sushant, I get very angry.”
Much like others, Amit too could never process the tragic passing away of Sushant Singh Rajput. However, he did analyse the extent of depression the actor might have gone through to be able to take such a drastic decision. Recalling his battle with depression and his mutual thoughts of suicide he too had early in his career, Amit said:
“I have tried committing suicide four times between the age of 16 and 18 so I know the mindset. Though I am a very strong person now. Everything has changed, life is good.”
