Abhishek Bachchan has landed on the bad side of the nepotism debate on several occasions. Now, netizens are saying he was unnecessarily dragged into the conversation.
Abhishek Bachchan is an actor and film producer who made his Bollywood debut with the drama film, Refugee in 2000. The actor has been on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list for four consecutive years, from 2012 to 2016. Some of his most lauded works include Sarkar, Guru, Yuva, Dasvi, I Want To Talk. However, despite his stellar performances, he is often compared to his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Abhishek Bachchan has proved his versatility as an actor with his performances in filmography. However, now his efforts are being acknowledged outside the spotlight of his parents' phenomenal work and netizens have realized that they might have been a little too harsh to the actor. On March 4, 2025, an X user took to their handle and shared how Abhishek was unnecessarily made a victim of nepotism negativity. They stated:
"Abhishek Bachchan unnecessarily became the victim of "nepotism" negativity, but the amount of good films in his filmography is very high. This is what I think, if you feel the same or otherwise, lmk!"
Amitabh Bachchan also took the opportunity to share his opinion on the same. The actor reposted the post and shared how he felt the same way. He added that it was not just because he was his father. For the unversed, Amitabh has, on several occasions, lauded his son for his performances. He stated:
"I feel the same .. and not just because I am his father."
As soon as Amitabh Bachchan shared the post, netizens started chiming in to share their opinions. A user wrote, "I'm a Legit Fan of Jr AB since RUN. He's earned his Spot, and he doesn't need validation from ANYONE!! PERIOD!" Another penned, "Absolutely right Amitji!! @juniorbachchan isn't really part of these current run of the mill actors! Amitabh Bachchan made two more posts praising his son, Abhishek, for his work. He reported another tweet by an X user of Abhishek at the HT India's Most Stylish Awards, praising how he stole the spotlight at the event. The proud father commended his son for walking with grace, never displaying any unnecessary excitement and being a normal human being. He stated:
"Superior .. Abhishek .. stunning .. Abhishek .. the walk the grace and .. THE STYLE .. and no fuss, just a normal being .. away from the unnecessary display of excitement or attention seeking."
Amitabh Bachchan also reposted a tweet by a fanpage. The said user shared the trailer of Abhishek's upcoming film, Be Happy, and praised the actor in a tweet. Amitabh reacted to it and complemented his son for how he adapts and changes with each film character. He said, "Abhishek, you are extraordinary. How you adapt and change with each film character is an art, which is incredible. Love you, Bhaiyu."
