Amitabh Bachchan's recent photographs give a peek into the unseen temple in white marble at his Mumbai home, Jalsa.

With over 200 films that he has delivered at the box-office, Big B has garnered a massive fan following across generations, who worship him no less than an inspiration. Amitabh Bachchan’s recent post on X (formerly Twitter) was about all things spiritual. He dropped a bunch of pictures of himself, wherein he could be seen offering prayers in his serene temple at his Mumbai home, Jalsa. One look at the glimpses and it was surely the exquisite craftsmanship of the temple, made out of white marble, which took everyone’s breath away. Big B could be seen offering milk to Lord Shiva and water to Tulsi. Expressing himself, the actor captioned the post as:
“T4918- Aastha. Dugdh arpan Shiv ji pe aur jal arpan Tulsi pe.”

Well, quite contrary to the strong roles he often pulls off in the celluloid, Amitabh Bachchan, in his real life, he is quite inclined to spirituality. He is often spotted visiting various holy shrines across India. For instance, back on February 10, 2024, Big B made his second trip to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, where he not only offered his prayers, but also made a hefty donation of gold jewellery to the temple authorities. For the unversed, he had visited the temple earlier on January 22, 2024, after he was invited to the Pran Pratistha ceremony of the holy shrine.
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan and his family enjoy a luxurious living in the city of Mumbai, and are proud owners of three bungalows, Jalsa, Janak and Prateeksha. Among the three, it is ‘Jalsa’ where the entire Bachchan clan resides, and inside glimpses of the same are visible through various social media posts that the family members often make. Previously, in one of his blogs, Big B had talked about that one favourite spot in his home, Jalsa. Elaborating more about it, he had penned:
“A whiff of a melody .. accidentally, conveyed to me during those wonderful moments at Saptaswar and it lingers on through the night and day and changes the very thoughts of what one is professed to do .. the power of music is divine .. it takes over all your thoughts and words and deeds .. and leaves you exhausted .. tired not in the sense of a physicality .. but exhausted with the idea of envy for them that possess that special quality of making music .."
