It’s no news that firecrackers are a major threat to the quality of the air that we all breathe in. And while the nation chose to celebrate the festival of lights thinking about the environment with a cracker-free Diwali, they expected their favourite B-town celebs to pledge for a pollution-free festival. The entire B-town celebrated the festival of lights, Diwali with their loved ones and shared the glimpses of celebrations on their social media handles. Bollywood’s Shahenshah, Amitabh Bachchan too, shared lovely pictures of Diwali celebrations at his residence with family including wife, Jaya Bachchan, son, Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. But it seems like the Diwali celebration pictures of the Bachchan clan didn’t go down well with the netizens. Wondering why? Check out the pictures that Big B shared on his social media handle, to know why!
After going through the pictures, you would have guessed the reason. Yes, it is because of the crackers! Amitabh ji along with his family can be seen celebrating Diwali by burning some phuljharis. Their fans mercilessly trolled Big B for not contributing towards a pollution-free Diwali and bursting crackers.
While one user commented, “Burning crackers this Diwali! Not cool at all...#pollutionfreediwali”, another one wrote, “Please stop using crackers ...not even a single phuljhadi.”Some even posted comments in the form of a request, “Sir please do not burn crackers. You are our role model. We learn things from you sir..... This is a humble request.” Whereas some were angry, “Amitabh ji pollution kar rahe hai...#save_environment.” Checkout some of the comments on social media:

This is not the first time that the Bachchan clan has been targeted by the trolls. Abhishek has often been a victim of trolls for his professional as well as personal life. In a recent interview, he shared that he is not bogged down by this negativity and hate, but it only affects him because he realises that it must be hard on his parents, Amitabh ji and Jaya ji. Abhishek remarked, "At the start of my career, I was very confused when people were dedicating so much time and energy talking about the privilege that was afforded to me because of the home I was born. First and foremost, I did not choose the family I was born. It used to affect me because I used to feel bad for my parents."
Junior B went on to say, "At the end of the day, I'm a professional. I do something which evokes a response from the public and I'm well aware of that and perfectly fine with it. They are also actors that work in the same industry as their son. I am not going to equate myself to their talent. But as a parent, I think it must be terrible for them to go through all this. I can take care of myself, I am 42. But I'm still their child. I'm the youngest in the family."
In a throwback interview, when Aishwarya was asked to comment about Abhishek living with his parents, she had stated, “It’s fine to live with your parents because it’s also common in India, we don’t have to take appointments from the parents to meet for dinner.”
Abhishek leaves no chance to turn down the trolls with his witty replies. And in an interview with SpotboyE, Aishwarya talked about Abhishek’s encounter with the trolls and said, “Abhishek does what he has to do or what he feels like doing… to each his own. There have been instances where he has been silent for years and made a choice to remain silent and then once a while he decides to engage and then he does. There is no telling if he will or if he won’t, it is a matter of at that time.”
Speaking about herself, she shared that she has no time for trolls, “It’s the approach, sense of self, self-confidence, self-esteem and finding strength in our capabilities that I find liberating. Be in tune with who you are because that keeps you positive. Once you start radiating that positivity, there is no stopping you.” (Also Read: Abhishek Bachchan Gets Hilariously Trolled For Laughing At Rajan Nanda's Prayer Meet)
