Amitabh Bachchan Gives A Sneak Peek Of Marble Temple At Jalsa: Ram-Sita Idols, Antique Diyas, More

Amitabh Bachchan took his fans on a virtual tour of the marble temple at Jalsa and talked about his meet and greet session with his fans on Sundays.

The superstar enjoys a massive fandom, who worship him and gather at the gate of Jalsa to get a glimpse of Big B every Sunday. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in his upcoming film, Kalki 2898 AD, as 'Ashwatthama'. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in the lead roles.

Amitabh Bachchan gives a sneak peek into his home temple

On June 16, 2024, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog and shared some surreal glimpses of his garden temple in his Mumbai home, Jalsa. The photos showed Big B offering prayers to Ram-Sita before he stepped out of his house to greet his fans. Amitabh took the blessings of the almighty and greeted his thousands of fans, who gathered outside the gate of his bungalow. The superstar was dressed in a yellow-hued bomber jacket and white pants in the pictures.

Amitabh Bachchan shares details of his meet and greet with his fans

Big B shared some pictures of the marble temple, which has an antique diya in one corner along with a few idols. In his blog, Amitabh revealed that as he walks towards the gate of Jalsa, he experiences several emotions at the same time. He also fears that no one would have come to meet him, but as soon as the gates open, he witnesses a slew of people waiting for him to make an appearance. Big B penned:

“One sits in wonder and apprehension for the GOJ .. and there is a fear and, well, not really a fear, but one that runs through the mind .. ‘will anyone still be there ..’ ? and as the gates open the energised reception and the smiles and the cheering and the multitudinous mobiles up in the air, take over .. and take over the balconies of the balcony in the structure ahead of the road across and the rooftop of another and their vociferous waves and movements to be seen, capture the eye and attention is drawn there .."

Amitabh Bachchan says he greets his fans to reveal that all is well

Talking about his greet and meet session with his fans on Sundays, Amitabh Bachchan shared that after paying respect to the front few rows, he glances at the banners in the back rows. He also gives autographs to multiple fans before returning to the isolation of his personalised room. Revealing that he meets his fans every Sunday to tell them all is well, Amitabh shared:

"After due respect to the Ef in the front rows .. and the slogan shouting Ef’s of the day and the banners and the pictures in abundance to be autographed and given in immediate return .. and the turn back to the isolation of the personalised room .. and the wonder of, ‘did it really happen all this’ .. The walk down the GOJ aisle .. in heartbeat moments .. and then the climb to the viewing box .. for the revelation that all is well.”

When Amitabh Bachchan talked about buying his dream house, Jalsa

On April 11, 2021, Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture from the sets of his film, Chupke Chupke, with his wife, Jaya Bachchan, on his Instagram handle. In the picture, young Amitabh and Jaya could be seen standing outside a house and having a conversation. Alongside it, Big B had penned a note in the caption and shared the history behind buying their dream house, Jalsa. His caption could be read as:

"Chupke Chupke" our film by Hrishikesh MUKERJI.. closing today at 46 years. This house you see in the picture is Producer NC Sippy’s house .. we bought it, then sold it, then bought it back again .. rebuilt it .. this is our home now JALSA. Many films were shot here .. Anand, Namak Haram, Chupke Chupke, Satte pe Satta, and many more."
