Throwback to the time when Amitabh Bachchan proved Jaya Bachchan wrong by completing Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film, 'Eklavya' and received a Rolls Royce from the filmmaker.

Talking about his personal life, Amitabh Bachchan is married to Jaya Bachchan, and they are blessed with two kids, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have been married for 50 years. And they have managed to make people believe in love and the institution of marriage. From being each other's biggest cheerleader and critic, Amitabh and Jaya serve the perfect couple goals. And a glimpse of the same was shared by the ace filmmaker, Vidhu Vinod Chopra. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, the filmmaker recalled his 2007 film, Eklavya and revealed a funny incident.

Talking about it, Vidhu Vinod mentioned that the schedule of the film was more than 2 months. However, Amitabh Bachchan only took a suitcase with him, which surprised the filmmaker. Vidhu Vinod mentioned that he told Amitabh Bachchan that he travels very lightly. To this, the actor gave a hilarious reaction. Amitabh Bachchan revealed that it was his wife, Jaya Bachchan, who made him carry only a single suitcase as she believed that the actor won't be able to survive for more than a week on Vidhu's set. In Amitabh Bachchan's words:
"No Jaya told me more than one week you cannot stand Vinod."
Further, in the same conversation, Vidhu Vinod mentioned how Amitabh Bachchan proved his wife, Jaya Bachchan, wrong as he worked hard and beautifully completed the film. Adding that since the actor tolerated him, Vidhu Vinod revealed that he gifted a Rolls Royce car worth Rs. 4.5 crores to Amitabh Bachchan. Elaborating more on it, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said:
"Because he did not leave and completed the whole film, I gifted him a Rolls Royce worth Rs 4.5 crore, because he tolerated me and did a great work in the film."

Once in an interview, actor-director, Sachin Pilgaonkar recalled the filming the 1982 movie, Satte Pe Satta, with Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about the same, the actor revealed he witnessed the jolly side of Big B when they went to shoot in Kashmir. Sachin even shared a funny incident and revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, along with Sachin and other crew members, pulled a prank on Jaya Bachchan.
Elaborating more about it, Sachin stated that Amitabh Bachchan used to spend time with them after shooting, while Jaya Bachchan used to wonder where he was. So, one night, they called the actress and mimicked a girl's voice, pretending to be Amitabh's secret admirer. In his words:
"We used to tease Jaya ji by calling her and pretending to be a secret admirer of Amit ji and hanging out with him. Once I called Jaya ji in a girl’s voice and said, 'Amit ji humaare paas hain' but she knew it was me and used to say, “Ok, rakho unko apne paas hi'."
