Abhishek Bachchan's swab test results are out and he was tested negative for COVID-19. The actor shares a glimpse of his care board on the 28th day and is all excited to leave the hospital.
The year 2020 had begun on a sad note with the onset of the deadly Coronavirus. The pandemic has forced us to lock ourselves inside the four walls of our home, and with each passing day, the hope seems to die a little more. The gravity of the situation is such that the fear of getting the virus has made us paranoid, restricting us from stepping out. Amidst it, the news of our favourite celebs being tested positive make us even more scared. It was on July 11, 2020, when Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were tested positive for the virus. Later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan were also tested positive in the second round of the test. On August 8, 2020, Amitabh Bachchan has revealed the state of his anxious mind. And the reason for his anxiety was Abhishek Bachchan’s swab test. The veteran actor took to his blog and wrote, “I must admit that there is anxiety now for Abhishek... he has his swab test this morning and by the evening we shall know if he can come home. Prayers.” It has been 28 days since Abhishek is admitted in the hospital but the actor has not left hope and has been sharing motivational posts on his social media handle.
And it seems like Abhishek Bachchan’s prayers are finally answered as the actor has tested negative and is all set to get discharged from the hospital. Some moments back, Abhishek took to his IG handle and shared a picture of his care board giving a glimpse of the status of his test result which was negative. Along with the picture, Abhishek penned a note of gratitude for the doctors and nursing staff for taking a good care of his family. He also thanked his fans for their prayers. His note can be read as “I TOLD YOU!!! Discharge plan: YES!! This afternoon I tested Covid-19 NEGATIVE. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes. I’m so happy to be able to go home. #believe. My eternal gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Nanavati Hospital for taking such good care of me and my family and helping us beat Covid-19. We couldn’t have done it without them.”

The care board had shown the actor’s health chart and how there was no plan to discharge him. Along with the picture, Abhishek had written, “Hospital day :26 Discharge plan: NO! Come on Bachchan, you can do it!! #believe.” His sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, who has been a constant motivation in his life had commented, “Hang in there!!! On the day junior Bachchan had shared a glimpse of his care board, his father, Amitabh Bachchan had motivated him by sharing a picture. In the picture, we could see Big B and Abhishek in their sports attire while being on the ground. Big B seemed to be kicking a football, which was edited to be represented as the virus. Along with the picture, Amit ji had shared a motivational poem written by his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He had written, “Dhanush utha, prahar kar tu sabse phela vaar kar, aagni si dhadak-dhadak, hiraan si sajaag sajaag, singh si dahad kar, shaankh si pikaar kar, ruke na tu, thaake na tu, jhukhe na tu, thaame na tu ~ Harivansh Rai Bachchan” in Hindi.
