Amitabh Bachchan Reacted To Kids, Abhishek And Shweta Joining Films, 'Ghar Me Ek Kalakaar Kaafi Hai'

Once, in an interview, Amitabh Bachchan talked about the possibility of his kids, Shweta and Abhishek Bachchan joining the film industry.

Amitabh Bachchan reacted to his children, Shweta and Abhishek Bachchan, joining the film industry

Once, in an interview in the 90s, Amitabh Bachchan was asked about the possibility of his children, Shweta and Abhishek Bachchan, becoming actors. As reported by Lehren Retro, during the interview, when Big B was asked if his kids would also want to join the industry, he recalled something his mother told him. He shared that only one artist is enough in their family and said:

"Hamare parivaar mein main pehla film kalakar hoon, aur jaisa ke meri mata ji hamesha kehti hain, jab unse poocha jata hai ke aapke bachhe aapke pati-ki tarah kyun nahin bane toh woh kehti hain ke ek ghar mein ek hi kavi kaafi hai. Usi tarah, main bhi yehi kehna chahunga ke ek parivaar mein ek film kalakar kaafi hai.”

Amitabh Bachchan wanted Shweta and Abhishek to struggle like him before making their acting debut

However, Amitabh Bachchan added that just in case his children, Shweta and Abhishek, did want to be actors and join the film industry, they would have to go through their own struggles. The superstar mentioned that he would want them to start in the same way he did and experience everything he went through. The Sholay actor said:

"Lekin agar meri beti aur beta film industry mein aana chahein, toh main chahunga ke woh bhi usi tarah apni shuruaat karein jis tarah maine ki thi. Jaise humne struggle kiya, waise hi woh bhi us dor se guzrein."

Shweta Bachchan turned author but stopped writing after the bad reviews of her debut book

Shweta Bachchan didn't follow in the footsteps of her superstar parents to join the film industry. She is a popular columnist, author, and former model. In 2018, Shweta Bachchan turned author with the novel, Paradise Towers. However, she couldn't succeed in her writing career and also couldn't take the bad reviews for the book well. Talking about dealing with failure, in one of the episodes of What The Hell Navya, Shweta said that it took her a long time to overcome that, and she stopped writing.
