He has been known as the angry young man of 90s but it is also his debonair personality which makes him way cooler than the millennials put together. Though the ultimate first superstar family of Bollywood, Bachchan clan including stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who have reigned the industry from over decades now, have enjoyed the spotlight, but still they have managed to keep a part of their personal life guarded from the media. (Also Read: Kareena Kapoor Khan Snapped With Sunshine Taimur Ali Khan, Back On Mommy Duties After Shoot Wraps Up)

However talking of their youngest members of the Bachchan clan, there is not much the elder lot can do to hide their love and admiration for them. While the granddaughters of the family, Navya Naveli Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan, have time and again shared the limelight, we haven't seen much of the grandson Agastya Nanda. Sometime back, Amitabh Bachchan had penned an open letter for his granddaughters, peppered with words of wisdom and carrying a strong message. While we will share the same in the later paragraphs, let us share how Big B enjoys spoiling his grandchildren.

In a recent interview, Amitabh Bachchan shared how he takes advantage of his authoritative figure in the house and spoils his grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan. Big B said, “I’ve loved all of them. When I want to spoil my grandkids, I am so authoritative that their parents dare not oppose me. Aaradhya will still come and destroy my working desk, as she wants to use this pen and wants to write things and wants to play with the laptop. It brings immense joy and is a beautiful experience.”

Amitabh Bachchan was also asked how their family dynamics changed after his son, Abhishek Bachchan got married to Aishwarya Rai and she became a part of their family. To this, Big B replied, “Nothing has changed for us, it was like one daughter left and another one came in.”

Reviving memories from the past and his iconic dialogues, Amitabh Bachchan shared, “The dialogues do not seem as finesse as today's generation pulling incredible scenes with ease, but I am happy that my fans still like it. There are a lot more ladies on the sets today, in our time there were just two -- the leading lady and the mother. Today, it's absolutely wonderful to see these young girls working in all kinds of departments.”

When Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda appeared on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, the latter also talked about how the dynamics and roles changed after Aishwarya Rai came into the Bachchan clan. Karan started by saying that the one big change happened in the Bachchan pariwar was when Abhishek married Aishwarya, and when asked what shifting happened in the family structure, Junior B replied, “I don’t think so.” But Shweta went on to add, “I feel whenever there is a new person, in a family unit, whether it’s a daughter-in-law or even a child, roles do get reshuffled.”

Karan Johar reframed his question for Shweta Bachchan Nanda and had asked her, “Like you were to go-to-person as a sister and now there’s a wife, who is also a megastar.” Shweta interrupted and said, “Which is great because it is better to have two hands than just one, Karan. I feel a lot of relief that he has someone he can bounce ideas off and things off. So suppose, he hypothetically has an issue with something my father’s told him or my mother’s told him, he may not be able to tell me about it and I may come from a biased point of view, but he may be able to speak to his wife about it without being conscious about it. She understands him better being from the same industry, she will connect with him better, the hours he keep.” (Also Read: Radhika Merchant Flaunting 'No Makeup' Look At Akash-Shloka's Mehendi Proves She Is A Natural Beauty)

Coming back to Amitabh Bachchan’s letter for his granddaughters, Navya Naveli Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan, he had written, “My very dearest Navya and Aaradhya, You both carry a very valuable legacy on your tender shoulders – Aaradhya, the legacy of your pardadaji, Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan…and Navya, the legacy of your pardadaji, Shri H P Nanda….Both your pardadajis gave your present surnames celebrated fame, dignity and recognition! Both of you may be a Nanda or a Bachchan, but you are also girls…women! And because you are women people will force their thinking, their boundaries on you. They will tell you how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and where you can go."

His letter further stated, "Don’t live in the shadows of people’s judgement. Make your own choices in the light of your own wisdom. Don’t let anyone make you believe that the length of your skirt is a measure of your character. Don’t let anyone’s opinion of who you should be friends with, dictate who you will be friends with. Don’t get married for any other reason other than you want to get married. People will talk. They shall say some terrible things. But that doesn’t mean you have to listen to everyone. Never ever worry about – log kya kahenge.”

Big B’s letter could be further read as, “At the end of the day, you are the only one who will face the consequences of your actions, so don’t let other people make your decisions for you. Navya – the privilege your name, your surname offers you, will not protect you from the difficulties you will face because you’re a woman. Aaradhya – by the time you see and understand this, I may well not be around. But I think what I am saying today shall still be relevant. This may be a difficult, difficult world to be a woman."

He concluded his letter by saying, "But I believe that it is women like you that will change that. It may not be easy, setting your own boundaries, making your own choices, rising above people’s judgement. But YOU! you can set an example for women everywhere. Do this and you would have done more than I have ever done, and it will be my honor to be known not as Amitabh Bachchan, but as your grandfather!! With all my love Your Dadaji your Nana.” (Also Read: Neeti Mohan Pandya Flaunts Her Solitaire Engagement Ring Given By Her Husband, Nihaar Pandya)
