KBC 14: Amitabh Bachchan Reveals His Mother Thrashed Him For Listening To Cricket Match On Radio

Amitabh Bachchan recalled the time when he was beaten up by his mother for listening to cricket match commentary on a transistor.

The popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 has been grabbing a lot of attention and appreciation from the day it got aired. Netizens love the show because of its interesting format and especially because it is hosted by the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan. However, what is more exciting about the show are the contestants and their unique life stories, which often astonishes Big B.

Time and again, we have witnessed the veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan, discussing his childhood memories on the show, Kaun banega Crorepati. For the unversed, senior Bachchan was born to the veteran poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and social activist, Teji Bachchan on October 11, 1942. Amitabh Bachchan made his acting debut with the film, Saat Hindustani in 1969 after facing a lot of rejections and from then onwards, he has never looked back.

In the latest episode of the reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, the constestant, Saurabh shared an interesting story from his childhood. However, it was Amitabh Bachchan's reaction to it that caught our attention. During the episode, Amitabh Bachchan took a trip down the memory lane and shared an amazing story from his childhood. He opened up about the time when he was beaten by his mother, Teji Bachchan for listening to a cricket match commentary over the transistor. In his words:

"Once I was trying to hear a match on the radio by going under a blanket, and my mother caught me. Babuji was sleeping in another room, and my mother removed my blanket and thrashed me."

This is not the first time, when Senior Bachchan recalled the tales from his childhood. Earlier, in one of the episodes of the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, Amitabh Bachchan had shared a story from his schooling days. Recalling his most beautiful days of life, Amitabh Bachchan had revealed that he used to fling his school in order to visit the nearby girls' School. Talking about the same, the Coolie actor had stated:

"It was very easier for us to escape from the boundary wall because next to our school was a lady's school and to see them we would always climb from the wall and go."

Earlier, on June 12, 2021, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his Instagram handle and shared a picture featuring an edited photo of himself and a poster of the comic, The Lone Ranger. Sharing the most beautiful memory of his childhood days, Big B had written:

"Remembering the School days in the 1950s and my most favorite comics 'The Lone Ranger' and his deputy Tonto. Never thought 71 years later I would start looking like my favorite!!!"
