One such father from B-town is Amitabh Bachchan, who has time and again shown how his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda makes him proud! From Shweta launching her own fashion line, MxS World to her novel, Paradise Towers becoming the bestseller in India, Amitabh Bachchan has always acknowledged his daughter’s professional achievements as a proud father. Even Shweta has been very vocal about the bond she shares with her father and on Koffee With Karan season 6, Abhishek Bachchan revealed that when Shweta is around, Amitabh Bachchan needs no one else!

On March 24, 2019, Shweta Bachchan Nanda walked the ramp for designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and was one of the showstoppers along with Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. The fashion show was hosted for a noble cause by the Cancer Patients Aids Association (CPAA) to raise funds for cancer survivors. And guess who was there to cheer for Shweta as she elegantly graced the ramp?
It was none other than her superstar parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan! For her first ramp walk, Shweta looked gorgeously stunning in an orange lehenga, and later she changed into a pristine ensemble in off-white, to wrap up the show as a showstopper. Amitabh and Jaya were sitting in the first row as they cheered for their daughter. Big B even turned into paparazzi and was all smiles as he clicked Shweta while she walked the ramp. Here’s the video of the same: Posting his favourite moment from the night, wherein his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda can be seen twirling on-stage, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "To the best... always... tonight elegance grace and dignity." On Twitter, Big B had written, “Daughter's are THE best..! elegance grace and dignity! (heart emojis) you Shweta” followed by a beautiful note for her in Hindi, which could be translated as, “Abhi kal tak hi to hum tumhe chalna sikha rahe the, aur aaj yeh.. itni jaldi samay kaise nikal gaya, bas pata hi nahi chala.” Here’s the screenshot of the same: Amitabh Bachchan’s emotions overflowed on his official blog, as he watched Shweta Bachchan Nanda walk the ramp. Big B articulated the feeling of being a proud father, "When emotions ride above all else... when pride overwhelms .. when what you brought into this world excels above all else... when there is wonder and astonishment on the passage of time... when there is none other before but this, or after... then... it is the love of the father. .. and that moment when you recollect what your parents thought and felt when they did see you in such .. and not just them, but what you yourself thought of that moment when the pride you built, is demonstrated by your actions .. I was fortunate, to have had many .. and they were the greatest moments of fulfilment ever .." He had written in Hindi which could be read as, "Daughters are the best!! Badi pyaari hoti hai betiyaan, raaja hote bete to raajadulari hoti hain betiyaan, laaj hotee vo do do ghar ki mahakaatee ghar aangan vo phulavaari hoti hain, betiyaan pita kee aankhon ka taara, maan kee gudiya khuda kee inait banaaya, badi pyaari hoti hain betiyaan." Coming back to Amitabh Bachchan’s proud note for his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, when she gave him her first authored book. Sharing the glimpse of the ‘special’ gift, Big B had written, "That moment when your daughter hands you her first authored book, it’s like when you first held her when she was born .. .. the birth of a creative talent .. and my prayers and blessings." And when her debut book became the bestseller, he wrote, "Nothing brings greater pride to a Father than this achievement of a DAUGHTER! daughters are special. From this little 'ghunghat' to the 'bestseller GHAT!'"
