Post the delivery, Amrita and Anmol had released a press statement confirming the arrival of their little prince. The statement could be read as "Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol welcomed a baby boy this morning. Both the mother and baby are healthy and doing well. The family is ecstatic and both Amrita and RJ Anmol thank everyone for their wishes and blessings." Now, in a conversation with ETimes, new mom, Amrita has described her feeling of holding her baby for the first time.
Waiting for the baby for nine months and then holding and seeing him or her for the first time is surely an emotional feeling. Amrita Rao, who got blessed with a baby boy on November 1, 2020, is going with the same emotions right now. In a conversation with ETimes, Amrita revealed the feeling of holding her baby in her arms for the first time. Sharing how she cannot stop staring at the baby’s face and hubby, Anmol’s expressions, she said, “I can’t stop staring at my baby’s face and my husband Anmol’s priceless expression of joy. I’m still in a state of wonderment. The phenomenon of giving birth to another human being is unfathomable and divine. There is a God realisation that nothing is in your hands and control. This baby was meant to come this year, so yay… I’m a #2020 mom!”
When asked if she is ready to play the role of a mother, she shared that the feeling of being a mother is yet to sink in and she is simply enjoying the feeling of having her little wonder. She shared, “That I have to play the role of a mother is yet to sink in because I’m such a mumma’s girl myself. If I begin to compare myself with my mom, then it’s too big shoes to fill in, so I’d rather just enjoy the feeling of having a little wonder in my life to keep me on my toes.”
She also talked about her pregnancy in the pandemic year 2020 and said that it was a silver lining for them as their mothers pitched in to take care of her and the baby. She said, “Yes, 2020 is a difficult year. However, if I look at the silver lining, then I think there were many fringe benefits of conceiving in 2020. My baby got only pure home-cooked food, as both the grandmothers pitched in and took turns to stay with us. A nuclear family suddenly became a joint family. The bonding, spending quality time, having family conversations, eating together, praying together and enjoying planning the ‘little things’ together will surely inculcate such sanskars in my baby, too.” (Don't Miss: Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates Birthday In Dubai With Family, Suhana And AbRam Pose With Cousin Alia)
When asked how she managed to keep her pregnancy a secret, thanking her genes, she said, “My body showed no signs of pregnancy weight except for the baby bump. I’ve got to thank my genes for that. And guess what? When my ninth month pregnancy pictures came out, a lot of my friends didn’t call to wish me thinking it was just a rumour and that I was sporting a baby bump for a shoot!”
Amrita was also asked if the couple has decided any name for their baby, to which, she replied, “Not yet. We have shortlisted a few names, but are still in the process of finalising one.” Well, the couple has also asked their fans to share baby names in their announcement post on their IG handles. On the evening of November 2, 2020, Anmol and Amrita had taken to their respective Instagram handles to share the official baby arrival announcement. The two had posted the same picture note, which could be read as "1-11-2020. Buoy o boy.. Yes, it is a 'boy'! Amrita and the baby are doing perfectly fine. So much love pouring in, we feel blessed! Thank you. As we complete 11 years of our relationship, couldn't asked for a better gift. Baby-names and suggestions are welcome! Amrita Rao - RJ Anmol!"
