But more than the ‘treats to the ears’ songs and a heartwarming love tale, we loved how the entire family would unite for a game of cricket or antakshari, be it the eldest ones, house-helpers or the dog of the house, Tuffy. And recently, we got Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! feels as the Mirza-Azharuddin clan decided to conclude the newly-weds, Anam Mirza and Asad Azharuddin’s wedding celebrations with a cricket match followed by an after-party. It was on December 11, 2019, when tennis star, Sania Mirza’s baby sister, Anam Mirza had said ‘Qubool Hai’ to Mohammad Asaduddin, son of Mohammad Azharuddin (Indian team's cricket former captain). The pre-wedding ceremonies had begun on December 9, 2019, with a mehendi ceremony which was followed by sangeet night the next day. Post the nikaah ritual, the newly-wedded couple had hosted a wedding reception on December 12, 2019, where they had happily posed for the pictures as husband and wife.
While everyone had thought that the functions are over and the wedding reception was the last leg of the festivities, the Mirza and Azharuddin clan delighted their fans with a glimpse of the post-wedding celebration. Anam Mirza and Mohammad Asaduddin’s families and friends got together for a cricket match, which was team dulha v/s team dulhan. The cricket match was anchored by Anam’s father, Imran Mirza and Bollywood director, Farah Khan. The glimpses of the same were shared under Anam and Asad’s wedding hashtag, #AbBasAnamHi. The cricket match was followed by a fun-filled after-party, where Neeti Mohan performed and we also witnessed dance performances by Anam, Asad and Sania Mirza.
But do you know who was the star of Anam Mirza and Mohammad Asaduddin’s wedding? It was Sania Mirza’s one-year-old munchkin, Izhaan Mirza Malik, who was super-excited for the wedding of his ‘ansikoo’ and ‘Asad Khaloo’. For the mehendi ceremony, Izhaan looked like a cotton ball in a beige-coloured kurta-pyjama with a floral printed jacket. For the sangeet night, Izhaan took our hearts away in a blue and green-coloured kurta. Finally, for the wedding, Sania’s ‘little sunshine’, Izzi looked dapper in a navy-blue coloured velvet suit. Before the pre-wedding ceremonies, Anam Mirza’s sister, Sania Mirza and their friends had organised a bridal shower for the to-be bride. From balloons and roses in hues of pink to silver metallic butterflies, Anam’s bridal shower venue was nothing less than a paradise. And in a pink tulle skirt by designer Aanchal Vijaywargi paired by a white t-shirt and floral tiara, Anam too looked nothing less than a princess. Sania had shared a picture with the then-bride-to-be and had captioned it as "Let’s get you married my baby girl."
Anam Mirza and Sania Mirza along with their ‘girl squad’ had gone to Paris for former’s bachelorette trip. A series of pictures posted by Anam and her star sister, Sania back then will remind you of your sister. It so appears that Anam was trying hard to click an OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) picture of herself, but every time she tried doing so, Sania had photo-bombed her and the hilarious result of the same is shared by the sisters themselves. While Anam had shared the entire series and had written, “All I wanted was a #OOTD picture.
