Ananya Panday recalled her school days with Sara Ali Khan. Shared how she would change her path when she saw Sara.
The Call Me Bae star, Ananya Panday recently was reminiscing about her school days with the Kedarnath fame, Sara Ali Khan. The actress shared some classic incidents between the two, which are priceless!
Ananya and Sara are close friends now, but back in their school days, Ananya was petrified of the Atrangi Re actress, Sara Ali Khan. Talking about Sara, Gehraiyaan star, Ananya shared that back in school days, Sara was not just her senior but also very blunt and outspoken. She would say anything that came to her mind and that terrified Ananya, so she would change her path if she saw Sara coming. The actress shared:
“She was muhfat anyways, like now also, she says… But in school, she was even more muhfat, she used to say anything. So, I used to be like, ‘She’s going to say something about me’. If she was walking down from a certain staircase, I would walk from the other staircase.”
Ananya added how she acted in a play with Sara in school, where Sara was the main lead and she was a side character who was supposed to hold her umbrella. And since Sara did not know her name, she would call Ananya ‘ae’.
Ananya elaborated on this adding how Sara would just refer to her as ‘ae’ whenever she had to call her. The actress believes it was not because her name starts with an 'A', but rather because Sara did not know Ananya’s name. The STY2 actress also added that when she recently mentioned this to Sara, the Gaslight actress denied saying she has always treated Ananya well. Ananya said:
“I think we did a play together in school. She was like the main and I was holding her umbrella or something. I was in the back. So she would say, ‘ae girl come here’. I don’t think it’s because my name started with A, she didn’t even know that. Now when I tell her she says, ‘What rubbish! I treated you so well, but she didn’t even know my name.”
Regardless of what happened in their school years, the two have grown closer in recent years. The duo even appeared together on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan last year. Ananya recalled how friendly Sara was when she debuted in the industry. Ananya revealed that Sara made an effort to make her feel welcomed and be a friend to her. She said:
“Now we’ve become friends. She debuted a year before I did and she was very welcoming. She was always like, ‘Let’s go for lunch,’ she’s made an effort to be friends.”
Ananya Panday was praised for her performance in Call Me Bae and was recently seen in Netflix's original CTRL. Whereas, Sara has officially begun shooting for her next project alongside Dream Girl 2 star, Ayushmann Khurrana and is currently shooting in Manali.
