Anil Kapoor Speaks On Being Replaced In 'Welcome 3' And 'No Entry 2', 'Sometimes It Doesn't Work'

Anil Kapoor is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood who has maintained his stronghold in the industry for more than four decades. He is currently making headlines for replacing Salman Khan as the host for Bigg Boss OTT 3. Recently, the makers of the show arranged a big press conference to launch the show and address all the speculations surrounding it. In the press conference, Anil Kapoor discussed the news of him being replaced in No Entry 2 and Welcome's third sequel.

Anil Kapoor cleared his stance on being replaced in projects in the showbiz

Anil Kapoor has replaced Salman Khan, who has hosted Bigg Boss on television for over 12 years. Salman also hosted the second season of Bigg Boss OTT. At the same time, Anil Kapoor mentioned that he has been replaced in the sequels of his two big films, No Entry and Welcome series. However, he added that being replaced is okay and work goes on. In his words:

"We are all well-wishers of each other. Sometimes I replace him, sometimes he replaces me. But, this word (replace) is wrong. Everyone will have work. Sometimes it doesn't work out due to time or dates. Recently, I was replaced in two places in films. Now, I don't know. But these things happen. We are just doing our jobs with sincerity and honesty. That's what life is."

Anil Kapoor is rumoured to be miffed with Boney Kapoor for being replaced in 'No Entry 2'

Initially, the original cast of No Entry, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, were in talks for the film's sequel. The discussion continued for years, and the plan was dropped for unknown reasons. Later, Boney Kapoor, who produced the original film, announced its sequel with a fresh cast. After the announcement, Boney revealed in an interview with News18 that his brother, Anil Kapoor, is miffed with him for not being cast in No Entry 2. He added that Anil Kapoor was not talking to him, but since they are brothers who love each other, they would come around.

Anil Kapoor allegedly left 'Welcome 3' due to the unprofessional behaviour of Firoz Nadiadwala

Welcome has been one of the most loved film franchises in Bollywood. The iconic characters of 'Majnu bhai,' played by Anil Kapoor, and 'Uday Shetty,' played by Nana Patekar, have made a special place in the hearts of fans. So, when the news of them not being a part of Welcome 3, titled Welcome to the Jungle, made news, fans were left upset. Initially, it was reported that Anil Kapoor demanded hefty fees that the producer could not accept, so he left the film. However, a source later revealed that the unprofessional behaviour of the film's producer was the real cause of Anil's exit.

Anil Kapoor's work front

On the work front, Anil Kapoor is currently shooting for Bigg Boss OTT 3. The actor will next be a part of Suresh Triveni’s Subedaar. He will play the role of Subedaar Arjun Singh, who leads a normal life while dealing with his strained relationship with his daughter. Also, he will feature in the Hindi translation of the 2019 Malayalam film, Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25.
