Television actor, Ankit Gera and his wife Rashi Puri are on cloud nine, as they have become proud parents to their baby boy. In a media interaction, the doting daddy shared his feeling. Find out!
Ankit Gera has made his name in the television world with his hard work, acting skills and handsome looks. Within a short span of his career, he has already become a household name as an actor. He was featured in television serials like, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Molkki and others.
For the unversed, the actor had tied the knot with the love of his life, Rashi Puri, amidst the lockdown in 2021 in an intimate wedding ceremony. They had got married on June 5, 2021, and since then, the couple has been enjoying every moment of their marital phase. However, the couple's happiness has got doubled as they have entered the parenthood league with the arrival of their baby boy.

On June 13, 2022, Ankit took to his Instagram handle and shared a beautiful picture from the delivery room, announcing the arrival of his baby boy. Sharing the surreal moment, the actor penned a caption that can be read as:
"Im proud of many things in life, but nothing beats being a father...thank you RASHI."
On June 10, 2022, Ankit Gera and Rashi Puri were blessed with a baby boy just five days after their first anniversary. The parents are on cloud nine, and in a recent interview with ETimes, an elated daddy, Ankit Gera shared his feeling about being a father. Talking about the same, the actor said:
"You can't imagine the level of happiness until you experience it. Everything…all the worries just fade away when you hold your child for the first time. I am glad that my child could see me without a mask (smiles). Of course, there has been a surge in COVID-19 cases, so all precautions were taken before admission and are being followed to date."
For the unversed, Ankit was with his wife, Rashi Puri during her delivery time. Going further in the interview, Ankit shared that his wife, Rashi was in immense pain during her labour for 16 hours. At one point, he had felt helpless and had come out of the delivery room. He even mentioned that he had cried. But as soon as they saw their baby boy, they had forgotten all of their pain and misery.

Ankit Gera had got married with Rashi Puri, who is an NRI from Nigeria during the lockdown, which is why they couldn't go out and travel much post their wedding. However, he called his son as 'honeymoon baby', and when asked the reason, he shared:
"I got married amidst the lockdown. Rashi and I couldn't travel anywhere. Around that time, I was offered a show and had to join the shoot immediately. So, we came to Mumbai expecting the stay to last for a couple of months. However, Rashi got pregnant and we couldn't travel back to Delhi for the first three months. We stayed back for good (smiles). So, yes, it's a honeymoon baby for us."
When Ankit was asked whether they had thought about their son's name yet, the actor revealed the unique name of their son by which they are calling him. Concluding the interview, the doting daddy mentioned:
“So, there is going to be a lot of confusion regarding the name. We were using an app to monitor the growth of the baby during the pregnancy and Rashi named the baby A. I would call him ‘Little A’. We haven’t kept the name yet, but for now, everyone is calling him ‘Little A’.”
