Now, Ankita Bhargava shared her experience of her first night with newborn daughter, Mehr Patel, on the official handle of Love Messy Munchkins. Revealing when the picture was taken and what she was told about breastfeeding, Ankita began her note with “My First Night As A Mother. It was 3am when I took this picture. I wanted to remember this moment. This emotion. This connection. This Blessing. I have realised that most often than not people land up scarring /scaring U with advises that were meant to help u to begin with. But my approach is to cross the bridge when it comes in all walks of life! My C section went absolutely stunningly wonderful and i was hale and hearty just a tad but tired cos of meeting all the guests but otherwise i was very much upbeat! The next challenge was BREASTFEEDING! I was told by so many people that breastfeeding is- Complicated, Tiring, Luck based, Difficult. I was also told that Breastfeeding is- Not for everyone, Should be regulated, Should be complimented with formula, Should be given in a bottle.”
Recalling how she felt connected with Mehr when she latched for the first time and her decisions regarding her daughter’s breastfeeding, Ankita Bhargava continued, “My instinct said, Every mother and child are different, Lemme figure how Mehr and I do as a team first! When Mehr latched for the first time, It felt like a jigsaw puzzle just got completed! We were in sync. We were complete. We had a give and take. She knew me and I knew her! From that day onwards and till date Mehr and I are walking hand in hand on our breastfeeding journey! Right from the start I had decided on the following- Feed on demand, Feed to calm them down, Feed to pacify, Feed to give them protection, Feed to give them security. Trust me it wont become a habit thats gonna go outta control!” (Also Read: Ankita Bhargava Reveals How And Why She Had Opted For A C-Section Delivery, Shares Her Birth Plan)
Concluding her note with how she believes that this idea helps a baby grow up to be confident and independent beings, Ankita Bhargava wrote, “I believe this makes lil babies feel so secured that they grow up to be totally confident & independent individuals. The whole idea that they r loved and cared for gets deep into their system and starts running in their conscious and subconscious minds way into their adulthood too! This is not to take away from mothers who willingly or unwillingly chose not to breastfeed! This is just my journey and with this i hope that i can propagate the positive affects of breastfeeding not just on their lil bodies but also their entire beings! P.S Breast feeding or not You are doing a kickass job Mamma! Keep shining!
