Ankita Lokhande opened up about her late boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, and shared how she was numb after watching the picture of his dead body.
Ankita Lokhande made her acting debut with Ektaa Kapoor's popular show, Pavitra Rishta, alongside late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. While the duo's on-screen chemistry won many hearts, soon love blossomed between them in real life. However, Ankita and Sushant parted ways after seven years of being in a happy relationship. Moreover, while Sushant passed away in 2020, Ankita got married to Vicky Jain in 2022. Currently, Ankita and Vicky are part of the famous reality show, Bigg Boss 17.
There have been several instances when Ankita Lokhande opened up about her past relationship with late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. Yet again, the actress recalled the time when she got numb after learning about Sushant's demise. It all started when during a conversation, K-pop singer, Aoora asked Ankita whether she blocks people on social media. Replying to his question, she told him and Munawar Faruqui that she blocked many people at the time of Sushant's demise and said:
"Yaa, I block many people. I have blocked already. But maine na bohot logo ko uss time pe block kiya. Kyuki meko itna ganda bola jaata tha, mei nahi le sakti thi. Maine block kar diya. It was very difficult. For anyone who was related to him (Sushant Singh Rajput). I was not there in his life when it all happened."

Listening to Ankita, Munawar mentioned how people become detectives on the internet these days and connect any link themselves. The Pavitra Rishta actress further told him how it was a bad time and she was shattered, doesn't matter whether she was with him or not. She added:
"Meri toh sab hawayein udd chuki thi. Main chahe ho ya nahi sath mei usse koi farak nahi padta."
Munawar Faruqui asked Ankita when she broke up with Sushant, she said that the day was February 26, 2016. Then, Munawar asked her if they both lived together, and Ankita replied that she started dating Sushant just after one month of Pavitra Rishta and moved in with him. However, she started to feel left out and their relationship fell apart. In her words:
"Yes, for 7 years. Just after one month of Pavitra Rishta, we started dating. Even he must have been in pain, I'm sure. But it was very painful for me because he was moving ahead in something, and I used to feel left out. Even he didn't know that this would happen."
When Munawar asked Ankita if Sushant was from Bihar or if his family stayed there. To this, Ankita shared that the late actor had a very well-educated family and they all were very highly intelligent people. Speaking about Sushant Singh Rajput, she said:
"No. One of his sisters was in the USA, another is in Chandigarh, his father was in Patna and Delhi. Very very well-educated family. Highly intelligent people. He was so intelligent. He used to solve any mathematics. He was an IIT student and in India, he earned 7th rank something in IIT."

Ankita further recalled Sushant's demise and shared how she was numb after seeing the picture of his dead body on the day of his demise. The actress mentioned that if Sushant had been alive, he would have done exceptional in his life. She got a little teary-eyed and shared that Sushant was broken because of something. Talking about the same, she said:
"When I saw him, I felt everything was over. So many films he watched, and everything was over. There was this one picture of him which was very bad. It looked like he's sleeping. I just kept looking at that picture and thought there was so much in his brain. I knew him very well. He must have had so much in his brain but all was vanished. You are nothing, you're just a body then. Tut gaya voh kisi chiz se. Nahi hona chahiye tha."
