The trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released on December 18, 2018, and not only Kangana Ranaut who is playing the lead role of Manikarnika, Ankita Lokhande too has been praised for her glimpse as Jhalkaribai. Ankita shot to fame with the popular Zee TV show, Pavitra Rishta and she is now making her big Bollywood debut with the period drama, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. With her debut film hitting the theatres in 2019, Ankita is in a happy space professionally. Seems like the actress is on cloud nine, not only because of her big professional break but also personally. As per a Bombay Times report, Ankita Lokhande might marry alleged beau and the co-owner of the Mumbai team of the Box Cricket League, Vicky Jain in 2019. A source told the newspaper, "After her breakup with Sushant, Ankita found her soulmate in Vicky. The couple is seen at many parties together and has also travelled to various holiday destinations. All of their friends know about the relationship. Ankita is also very close to Vicky's family and is often spotted with his sister. Currently, she is occupied with her film promotions, but she is planning to get married in 2019."
Recently, the respective families of Ankita and Vicky have also met at her place, but neither of them has confirmed their wedding buzz. Speaking about her marriage plans in an interview with DNA, Ankita shared, "There are no marriage plans right now. Like I said, I’m still waiting for my prince charming." In fact, she also said that she was not averse to the idea of a relationship. She said, "Of course, there is! (smiles) I’m still waiting for my prince charming (laughs). But I’m not consciously looking for a man. I’m done with that! I don’t need a man to reach somewhere in life. I’d rather have awards."
According to a report in Mid-Day earlier this year, the two met through common friends and soon fell in love. The source revealed, "They have known each other from the past few years. They met through common friends from the telly world. But recently, the two have got close. That they are more than just friends was evident from their body language at a Holi bash last month. Vicky and Ankita often hang out together with common friends."
Talking about their closeness, the source further added, "Vikas has also been spotted visiting Ankita at her Malad home. Considering that Ankita went through heartbreak just last year, she has been taking things slowly.” When Bollywood Life contacted Ankita to confirm her dating speculations, she had stated, “The story is already out. What do you want? I am not here to give any quotes or explanations to people. I have friends. Jisko bhi friends banati hoon, date karne lagti hoon. There is no point in saying anything. I don’t want to give a damn to all this.”
She went on to say, “It has been one year I am tired of listening to my own things. I am dating this guy or the other. Whenever I date someone, it will be out from my side. It is ok (the constant rumours), I cannot help it.” (Also Read: Ankita Lokhande's Glamorous Transformation Post Her Break Up Is A Proof That She Has Moved On)
On December 19, 2018, Ankita turned 34 and a day earlier, she celebrated a pre-birthday bash and her Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi team and friends from the industry graced the occasion. The birthday girl, Ankita looked stunning in a red sequins dress and chose to go minimal with her makeup. Ankita's birthday cake was a still of hers from Manikarnika, and she was all smiles while posing with the cake. From Kangana Ranaut, Mouni Roy, Prince Narula, Yuvika Chaudhary, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Arjun Bijlani, Rohit Reddy and amongst others joined the celebrations.
Ankita Lokhande, who was in a relationship with her Pavitra Rishta co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput, ended her six-years-of-relationship with him after things took an ugly turn between them. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Sushant talked about his break-up with Ankita and stated, “It is very important to give time to a relationship. It can sustain if there are no expectations. When you are in love you care about your partner and wish for good memories with him or her. Therefore time is like an investment in any relationship."
He further added, “We run after psychological security which will never last long. Most of the actors only want to speak about themselves and have become self-obsessed. They want to be heard only. Today, people no longer have listening power.” Confirming the buzz about their break-up, Sushant had tweeted back then, "Neither she was alcoholic, nor I am a womaniser. People do grow apart and that's unfortunate." (Also Read: Ankita Lokhande Won't Talk About Her Ex Sushant Singh Rajput, But Is Ready To Be Friends With Him)
Looks like Ankita Lokhande is taking every care to keep her relationship private and has hence remained tight-lipped about her relationship with the Mumbai-based businessman, Vicky Jain.
