Ankita Lokhande's mom, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande FINALLY reacted to Vicky Jain's parents dragging the diva's late father's name.
Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain are one of the much-loved couples in the television industry. The duo tied the knot in 2021, and they never shy away from painting the town red with the kind of bond they share. In their professional lives, the actress and the businessman are currently locked inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. Moreover, it's their tiff in the show that left their fans wondering if the duo's relationship would end once the show is over. Amid all this going on, Ankita's mom, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, and her mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain graced the show. Moreover, there were some comments from Ankita's MIL about the actress' late father, which left her heartbroken. And now, Ankita's mom reacted to the same.
Regarding Ranjana Jain's comments on her late husband, Ankita's mom, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, in an interview with Galatta India, said that it was utterly wrong as both the actress and her husband are away from their parents for three months. Vandana further added that she never wanted to let Ankita or Vicky know about the latter's father calling her and dragging out Ankita's late father's name, as she never wanted the couple's relationship to be affected by the same.

Ankita's mom further mentioned that Ankita told her that she knew what had happened. She also mentioned how she was hurt after watching the promo and her daughter crying, who misses her late father a lot. Ankita's mom said:
"It was wrong. Both Ankita and Vicky have been away from their parents for three months, it shouldn’t have happened on the show like this. Vicky has no idea that this conversation has even happened… I don’t want their relationship to get affected by this. Ankita was crying, she was concerned. I would have never told her about it, but she said she already knew. I was very hurt when I saw that promo video, and I know that Ankita misses her father a lot.”
In the same interview, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande revealed that Ankita's late father promised to watch her on the show, which he unluckily couldn't. She also said that although Ankita's father is not with them, his memories are still fresh, and they all know what kind of person he was. Vandana also mentioned that she had told her stressed daughter to talk very carefully while being on the show, as her words often get misquoted outside. Vandana can be quoted as saying:
"Her father had promised her he’d watch her on the show. His presence will never leave us. He’s not with us anymore, but I know the man he was. And my family knows. But Ankita is not with me, and she was very stressed. All I told her was that she needs to be careful about what she says on the show, because it can be misconstrued against her.”
While paying a visit to her son, Vicky Jain, and daughter-in-law, Ankita Lokhande, during the family week, the latter's saas, Ranjana Jain, talked about some actions of the actress towards her husband. She expressed her displeasure over Ankita throwing slippers towards Vicky and also talked about how the actress' father-in-law reacted to the same incident. Ranjana shared that Ankita's FIL called the former's mom and asked her if she used to act the same way with her late husband. Such an incident left Ankita utterly shocked, and she also questioned why her in-laws had to drag her mom into this, as her father just passed away a few months ago.

Earlier, during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Karan Johar slammed Vicky for not being there by Ankita's side when she was emotional and not trying to learn what had been wrong with her. Later, Vicky asked Ankita about the incident, and when she revealed the same, the businessman asked if it was wrong for a father to get feelings and react. He also bashed Ankita for being able to control her emotions, which portray something else on national television.
