Siblings are each other's biggest fans and worse critics. And Bollywood actor, Arjun Kapoor gets a flood of praises from his sister, Anshula Kapoor. Check it out below!
To the outside world we all grow old, but not to our brothers and sisters. Siblings are souvenirs of lost childhood and every bowl of carelessly cooked Maggi noddles reminds us of our old fights over the last bite of it when we were young. Or the times when our brothers used to switch off the light and leave us alone in the room. Ahh, those were the days! And Bollywood actor, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor share an exactly same relationship. Anshula Kapoor is eight years younger to Arjun Kapoor, yet she became the head of the family when the sibling duo had lost their mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor to cancer in the year 2012. At the mere age of twenty, Anshula stepped into her mother's shoes to take care of her brother and the house. Arjun and Anshula stood together in the tough times and became a strong pillar of support for each other. We remember once in a media interaction, Arjun had shared how his baby sister grew into a gorgeous lady to take care of him.
Arjun and Anshula are each other's friend and critics. Today, on December 6, 2019, Anshula took to her Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt note praising her big brother, Arjun for his excellent performance in the film, Panipat. Sharing a couple of still posters from the film, she wrote, "I’ve seen you work your hardest this past year and I am so, so proud of you & your transformation into the character of Sadashiv Rao. This is a story of his & the Marathas courage, integrity, duty, and strength. You embody this and so much more. I am in awe of Sadashiv bhau."
Anshula Kapoor also praised Kriti Sanon's acting stint in the film, "@kritisanon you light up the screen & just with your expressions you have the ability to tell us everything we need to know and feel. I cried when you did, my heart sang when yours was happy. I had goosebumps when you fought back. I cannot think of anyone else who could do justice to Parvati bai like you have. Thank you Ashutosh sir for bringing this story of Maratha Valor to life. This is a story that needed to be told, and there’s no one else who mounts a film like you do. #Panipat is in theatres today. Watch it at a cinema near you and prepare to be amazed."
This year, on the occasion of Siblings Day, Arjun had shared a childhood picture with mother, Mona and sister, Anshula on his Instagram handle. The actor had recalled the time when his baby sister used to wear WWE t-shirts and copied him. He had written, “Mom, you gave birth to a special child. She wore matching WWE t-shirts just to be more like me and spent time with me... Guess what, my sibling turned out to be better than me and the best part of me... The day is gone but still... Happy Siblings Day.” (Also Read: Govinda's Daughter, Tina Ahuja Supports Her 'Strong-Headed' Cousin, Arti Singh To Win 'Bigg Boss 13')
While Arjun found his passion in acting, Anshula never showed any interest in it. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Arjun had talked about the same and had revealed, “This is good for me at a selfish level, as she is my audience. When I talk to her, I get a sense of what people like to watch in theatres. She is the first point of contact for me when it comes to giving the script.”
In an interview with Huffington Post, Arjun had talked about his sister, Anushla and how she had stood by him through thick and think. He had shared, "Anshula has stood by me like a rock. She has gone through far worse. and she’s younger than me. I still had 11 years with my father living in the house. I had my mother living with me for 25 but Anshula only got 20. Imagine a child who has been through a life where the father couldn’t be physically around after they turned five. And the mother who was there physically and then after 20 years, she wasn’t there. Imagine the psychological scarring of that child. And still, Anshula is more mature, very well-educated, honest and more sincere than me."
He had further shared, "When Mum passed away, my only thought was how will I take care of Anshula? I was prepared to take care of myself, how I would take care of Anshula? It’s like having a child when you’re least prepared. She is my child in that sense; she’s somebody who I am the most protective about. She completed her graduation in the US and passed with flying colours. This was during my film release. She came back to be with me when she could’ve gotten a great job abroad. Till today, she doesn’t accept that she did it for me." (Don't Miss: Sanjay Dutt Revealed That He Used To Work In Jail So He Could Buy Gifts For His Sisters On Rakhi)
Well, Anshula is definitely one of the cutest and the best movie critic for Arjun! What do you think?
