Anupam Kher's new video of trying his hand at cooking eggs received backlash, as netizens pointed out the actor consuming non-vegetarian food during the month of 'shravan'.
Anupam Kher is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and talented actors of his generation. He has been mesmerising his fans with his unparalleled acting chops and choice of unconventional films. Moreover, he has won hearts due to his humble and down-to-earth nature, which fans consider unlikely to any other actors. However, it seems his latest social media post has left a certain section of netizens unimpressed.
Taking to his IG handle, Anupam Kher recently dropped a video of himself, as he tried his hands at making scrambled eggs in his kitchen. Since this was the first time that he was trying his hand at the kitchen, he took the help of a chef who guided him through the process. Indeed, the actor seemed to have a lot of fun in this learning experience.

As soon as the actor dropped the video on his social media handle, netizens were quick to flood the comment section of the post and express their views. While some of them were happy to see the actor trying his hand at something new, it seems another major chunk of netizens were totally unimpressed by his action. They called out the actor for being a Kashmiri pandit and yet consuming eggs during the month of Shravan. While someone wrote, ‘You may ignore eggs or non veg Mr Kher, its Shravan month’, another user wrote, ‘Sawan mein egg kha rahe hai aur bate karte hai hum Hindu hai aur wo bhi Kashmiri’.
Anupam Kher had mesmerised the audiences with his acting stint in the controversial film, The Kashmir Files. And back during the promotions of the film, he had revealed it was possible for him to enact the true pain and feelings in the movie, only because he himself was the son of a Kashmiri pandit. Moreover, he shared that his character of 'Pushkar Nath' in the film is named after his late father, Pushkar Nath and that the film is a tribute to him and to all other victims of the horrible incident in history.
