'Shark Tank India' judge, Anupam Mittal recently shared his two cents on how anybody can now attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Netizens react to his post.
The Cannes Film Festival happens every year in the month of May in the beautiful city of the French Riviera. The creme de la creme of the film industry from around the world attend the festival in their best fashion picks to be part of the film festival. However, lately, not just actors, directors or producers, but several Indian digital creators were also seen attending the prestigious film festival. This led many to question why influencers are getting media coverage instead of filmmakers or actors who were at Cannes for their films.
One such person to ask the same question was Anupam Mittal, the founder and CEO of Shaadi.com. The entrepreneur, who is also a prominent investor in the business reality show Shark Tank India, took to his X (formerly Twitter) and penned a post mentioning that earlier, only a few prominent names could attend Cannes. However, things have changed now, and anyone can attend the film festival.

Soon after Anupam's post on X, netizens took to the comment section of the same and asked him to tag his Shark Tank co-judge, Namita Thapar. One user said, "Who are you taking a dig at? next time tag pls." Another one wrote, "Direct @namitathapar ko tag Karo, why this 'anybody' ka rona." Meanwhile, a third netizen penned, "The definition of who is considered to be famous has drastically changed, Maybe that’s why!"

On May 15, 2024, the Shark Tank India judge and the executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar turned heads on the red carpet of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. She slayed in a powder blue-coloured off-shoulder ruffled gown. Taking to her Instagram account, Namita posted a couple of pictures of her OOTD and penned:

Amongst all, the Delhi-based fashion creator, Nancy garnered much appreciation for her authentic representation of herself. She wore self-stitched clothes to the red carpet and did not even shy away from speaking in Hindi while giving an interview to Brut.
