'Anupamaa's Alisa Parveen who played the role of 'Rahi' revealed that she did not quit the show but was replaced in it overnight by the makers without explanation.
Anupamaa is one of the most loved shows on Indian television. Since its launch in 2020, it has kept the audience hooked with its exciting storyline and relatable theme. But, recently, the show has undergone many changes as several of its leading actors, like Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Gaurav Khanna, Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah and many more, have quit the show. Many stated Rupali Ganguly as the main reason, while others shared how the makers are extremely toxic and fire employees as per their convenience without explanation. The recent target of the makers is Alisha Parveen, who essayed the role of 'Rahi' that is, grown up 'Aadhya'.
It seems like Anupamaa makers are back in the news for all the wrong reasons. Director's Kut Productions produces the show, and they hold complete control over the cast and crew working on the show. Earlier cast members who worked in their shows accused them of firing actors without explanation, and now Alisha Parveen has accused them of the same. A few days back, there were rumours that the actress had quit the show and would be replaced by another actress.
Now, Alisha took to her Instagram stories and revealed that she never quit the show. Instead, she was replaced by the makers without any explanations. The news was shocking to her as she gave her heart and soul to the character and worked hard. She added that she would miss the show and thanked everyone who loved and supported her.
In an interview with BT, Alisha shared that she was shocked and disappointed over her exit from the show. She was called for a meeting and informed that the makers replacing her. She has no idea what went wrong and is taken back by the announcement. In Alisha's words:
"It is shocking and disappointing. I am not sure what exactly happened and why I am being replaced! Today was my last day on the set of Anupamaa. It was a fantastic opportunity, and everybody loved my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But I have no clue why I was suddenly replaced. I had a meeting yesterday and was told about this decision. I am completely clueless, but it happens sometimes. I will focus on my future projects now."
Earlier, Madalsa sat down for an interview with Filmy, where she was asked to give one word to her co-stars from the show, and Rupali was one of them. In her reply, Madalsa quickly looked at the side and mentioned "two-faced". She further called Sudhanshu Pandey "Generous", Gaurav Khanna, who plays the role of 'Anuj Kapadia' to be "Cartoon", and Alpana Buch, who plays the role of 'Baa' as "Cute". Madalsa shared an Instagram post on September 19, 2024, to announce her exit. She mentioned how she would miss the role and thanked the entire team.
