Anurag Kashyap shares unseen pictures of his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap's wedding ceremony. He wrote a heartbreaking note with the same.
Indian filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap is the most emotional father right now. This is because he got his daughter, Aaliyah, married to the love of her life, Shane Gregoire. The director's recent post revealed that he had done his daughter's kanyadaan in the most emotional way. After sending his daughter away to her sasural, Anurag wrote the most emotional post that will move you to tears.
Anurag posted an array of pictures from Aaliyah's wedding with Shane. His ex-wife and Aaliyah's mom, film editor, Aarti Bajaj was also present in the snaps. Anurag and Aarti were seen performing what looked like the kanyadaan rituals. In the heartwarming post, Anurag had written:
"Ye bhi gayi .. @shanegregoire my Silly take care of her . And i will get back to my stubborn self . Thank you @artb and @rheadewan for making it happen so beautifully. Thank you everyone for coming."
As seen in the photos, Anurag and Aarti were seen washing the feet of Aaliyah. They then followed the pandit ji's instructions and completed their daughter's marriage rituals. He also posted pictures with filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane and Imtiaz Ali and called them his two pillars of strength in order of seniority.
Aaliyah and Shane's wedding pictures have gone viral. At one of their wedding functions, Aaliyah's dad, Anurag, was also seen at the DJ console for his daughter's joyous occasion. The pair got married on December 11, 2024, in front of their close family and friends. The pair's wedding reception was attended by Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala, Abhishek Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Shah Rukh Khan, daughter Suhana Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bobby Deol to name a few.
In a joint wedding post, Aaliyah and Shane shared their first official wedding snaps. Shane was also brutally trolled, as in a viral video, he was seen crying when he was Aaliyah's bridal entry as she made her way to the stage for the varmala ritual. The social media influencer had worn a pastel pink lehenga for her happy and special occasion.
Ahead of Aaliyah's wedding, Anurag had penned a sweet yet emotional note where he spoke about how he and his daughter went to watch I Want To Talk, which was directed by Shoojit Sircar and had Abhishek Bachchan, played the role of a cancer patient named, Arjun Sen. He had also posted a sweet picture Anurag wrote in his post:
"My daughter gets married in a couple of weeks, and we went on our last movie date together before I give her away, to watch @shoojitsircar's I Want to Talk. It was like a deep cleansing of the soul watching this beautiful film with @aaliyahkashyap. I laughed and teared up."
Aaliyah and Shane got engaged in Mumbai in 2023, and they announced their engagement in May 2023. The couple had been together for four years before they took the plunge and got married.
