There is no greater happiness than to cheer for the love of your life on their big achievements. And Anushka Sharma proves it right as she cheered for Virat Kohli during RCB vs CSK IPL match!
In India, cricket is not just a game, but it is a religion, and cricketers are like God for the people. However, the 'men in blue', who have made the entire world swoon over their gameplay, often go weak in front of the Bollywood beauties and they end up giving their heart to them. From Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi falling head over heels in love with Sharmila Tagore to Yuvraj Singh giving his heart to Hazel Keech. And one such famous couple is Indian cricket team's captain, Virat Kohli and Bollywood beauty, Anushka Sharma. Over the years, the duo have proved that their love can conquer all the haters. In the winters of 2017, Anushka and Virat had tied the knot in an intimate wedding and had left the entire nation's jaw dropped in awe. Virat and Anushka have set couple goals for our entire generation when they had decided to marry at the peak of their career. But they have been targeted millions of time by haters and trollers. We still remember there was a time when Anushka was badly trolled and made fun, after Virat's poor performance, and later for getting special treatment from the board of Indian cricket team. And things have not really changed much, but she never stops cheering for her hubby, Virat!
On October 10, 2020, we spotted the gorgeous mommy-to-be, Anushka cheering for her darling hubby, Virat during the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings IPL 2020 match. When Virat scored an unbeaten 90 in the match, Anushka showed off her proud wifey smile and showered flying kisses on her hubby. Since then, social media is flooded with their cute PDA and Anushka blowing kisses at Virat. Check it out below:
For those who don't know, Anushka was dragged into a controversy after Sunil Gavaskar, in his commentary during an IPL match had implied that Virat’s poor form was because he was out of practice during the lockdown and was only being bowled to by his wife. The actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had penned a note on Sunil Gavaskar’s comments. Her note could be read as "That, Mr Gavaskar, your message is distasteful is a fact but I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping statement on a wife accusing her for her husband’s game? I’m sure over the years you have respected the private lives of every cricketer while commentating on the game. Don’t you thing you should have equal amount of respect for me and us?" This is not the first time, last year, Anushka had talked about the times when she was subjected to public hate and her name was dragged in between her then-boyfriend and now-husband, Virat's performances. She had posted a picture, wherein she had written, "I have always been of the opinion that maintaining silence on false & fabricated news and stories against one are the best way to deal with your detractors. This is how I have handled my career for 11 years now. I always saw the dignity & truth embedded in the shadow of my silence. They say a lie so many times repeatedly that it starts to look like the truth and I am afraid this is what has been happening with me. My silence has made the lies spitted against me seem true but that ends today."
She had concluded her note with the words, "Today, I have decided to speak up because someone's silence cannot be taken as their weakness. I am not and will I not be a pawn to be used by anyone's thoughts or beliefs or agendas and next time you want to use my name to discredit someone or the board or even my husband, do it with facts and proof & leave me OUT of it. I have led my life. built my own career with the utmost dignity and I am not going to compromise that for anything. Maybe, it's hard for some to believe that, because, I am a self-made, independent woman who only happens to be the wife of a cricketer and for the records. I drink coffee."
