After tying the knot on December 11, 2017, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's life had gotten better with the birth of their daughter, Vamika. They have been enjoying the beautiful phase of parenthood ever since her birth. However, when it comes to introducing her to their fans, Anushka and Virat have refrained from the same as they want to provide a childhood just like any other kid.

A few days back, Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their daughter, Vamika were spotted at the airport as they had flown to South Africa along with team India. Though the shutterbugs had captured Vamika's picture, Virat had requested them not to publish it anywhere and the former abided by the same. And now, Anushka Sharma has put forward a special message for the paparazzi.

Going further in her gratitude note, as a parent, Anushka requested everyone to give Vamika all the privacy that she deserves, away from the glares of the media. She added:

“We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media. As she is older, we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice (retrain) in the matter. A special thank you to fan clubs and people of the internet for going out of your way to not post images. It was kind and highly mature of you.”

Earlier, when Virat had hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session, a user had asked him the meaning of his daughter, Vamika's name and had requested him to share a glimpse of the little one. To which, Virat had replied:

"Vamika is another name for goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice."

It was on February 1, 2021, that Anushka Sharma had posted the first-ever family picture with their then-newborn daughter, introducing her to the world. Announcing her daughter’s unique name, Anushka had written:

“We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy.”
