Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had culminated their Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi into the sacred thread of marriage on December 11, 2017. And since then, rumours about the couple embracing parenthood had been doing the rounds. On August 27, 2020, the couple had announced the news of their pregnancy with an adorable picture on their social media handles, wherein, the actress had flaunted her baby bump. Revealing that junior Sharma-Kohli will arrive in 2021, Anushka and Virat had captioned it as “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
From carrying herself in the most stylish manner to flaunting her baby bump, Anushka has never skipped a chance to surprise us. In an interview with the Bombay Times, the PK actress opened up about her plans to resume to work after her delivery in January 2021. In her words, Anushka shared, “I will be back to my shoots after I deliver my child, and will establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy.”
The mommy-to-be was in Dubai with her hubby, Virat during the IPL 2020 session, and is now, back in Mumbai. Anushka has resumed shooting and is often spotted in the city, outside her vanity van or getting ready for the shot. On November 25, 2020, we had stumbled upon a mesmerising picture of Anushka Sharma in a yellow mini dress with bottle sleeves and tassels hanging at the neck. She had paired her OOTD with hoop earrings, white sneakers and her signature smile, as she was captured stepping out of her vanity van. Her pregnancy glow was unmissable in the picture. On September 13, 2020, Anushka had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a mesmerisingly beautiful picture of herself while standing on the shore. In the picture, she could be seen caressing her baby bump with a beautiful smile on her face. Along with the picture, Anushka had written, "Nothing is more real & humbling than experiencing the creation of life in you. When this is not in your control, then really what is?" The doting husband, Virat Kohli had dropped a beautiful comment on his wifey's picture and it could be read as "My whole world in one picture."
In an interview to RCB Bold Diaries, on the YouTube channel of the IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli had revealed his and Anushka Sharma's reaction when they had found out about her pregnancy and his emotions on becoming a father soon. Virat had expressed, "It is an incredible feeling. It puts things into perspective for you. It is a beautiful feeling. It isn't easy to describe how you feel, but when we found it, we were over the moon. When we announced, the kind of love that was showered on us, it was amazing. People were genuinely so emotional and happy for us. We are looking forward to the third member joining the clan."
