The couple in 2024 will complete 7 years of their marriage and are parents to two beautiful kids, Vamika and Akaay. However, did you know that the Zero actress had spent only 21 days with Virat during the first six months of her wedding?
During a candid interview with Vogue, Anushka spoke about her experience as a newlywedded wife. She revealed that she did not get much time to spend with Virat after they got newly married. Anushka said:
"In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated. So when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s precious time for us.”
In the same interview, Virat spoke about his deep connection with Anushka Sharma. He revealed that his love for her has always been timeless and unconditional. They believed in living each day and loving one another to the fullest. He always felt like he had known Anushka for ages and not just a few years.
Anushka, going ahead in the interview, had said that people always assumed that when used to travel to meet Virat, people used to assume that they were on holiday. However, that was not the case. She had made the records straight by saying that even when they visited one another, either person was always working.
In an old video interview of Anushka with legendary host Simi Grewal, the actress had opened up about the importance of marriage in her life. She said that she believed in the institution of marriage and having children, and she does not want to continue working when she is married. Anushka also said that she had made a conscious decision not to take up any movie projects after her marriage to Virat. She responded by stating:
"That’s a conscious decision. I wanted to take a couple of months off after Zero. After I got married, it was like a whirlwind. I was back on the sets shooting for Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and later Zero. I was just working back-to-back. Whatever time I’d get, I’d try to balance and meet Virat. But I was feeling too worked up. I told my team I don’t even want to read anything right now.”
It was in 2017 when Bollywood's power couple Anushka and Virat posted breathtaking pictures from their private wedding in Italy.
