On October 4, 2020, South Indian actress, Anushka Shetty took to her Twitter handle and was interacting with her fans, when one Twitter user asked her about her and Prabhas' wedding picture that is going viral on the internet. To this, the actress replied that this is a candid picture taken by one of the crew and stated that it is from the shooting of their second movie, Mirchi. Her tweet can be read as "A candid pic taken when discussing the shot made a beautiful poster for Mirchi .. a movie close to my heart uv creations first movie Pramod, Vamsi, Vikki." The actress also answered the question, whether she would like to do another movie with Prabhas, she said, "Hi if a script comes by with the pairing required for the story. I'm sure. Earlier this year, in an interview with the Pinkvilla, Anushka Shetty had talked about the core and the biggest reason behind her and Prabhas' relationship rumours in media. The actress had credited their amazing chemistry on-screen and the fact that none of them is married till now. She had explained, "We are usually linked up because both of us are not married and make an amazing on-screen pair. Had there been anything between both of us, it would have been out by this time." The actress also added that Prabhas is one of her 3 a.m. friends, as she further stated, "Both of us are the same kind of people who don't hide any emotions if we are involved. I have known Prabhas for over 15 years now, and he is one of my 3 AM friends." Not just Anushka but Prabhas had also addressed these relationship rumours in a lot of interviews. For instance, in an interview with the ET, when Prabhas was asked about rumours of him dating Anushka, he had stated, "It's my private matter, and I don't want to reveal anything." Prabhas had further stated that whenever he decides to tie the knot, he will first inform the media.
There have been numerous rumours about Prabhas and Anushka Shetty looking for a house in Los Angeles. However, in the same interview, Prabhas had continued, "I don't know how these things come up. I think people want me to have some affair or at least tell them that this is the girl I like. Otherwise, they are going to link me up with someone."
