Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent has been grabbing the headlines, for all the negative reasons. Recently, the show got called for a ban due to the recent controversy around. For the unversed, the show was graced by Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, whose crude comments had caught the attention, bringing an FIR against them along with Samay, Ranveer, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh. Amid this, Apoorva had a subtle response to the entire controversy.
While being on the show Ranveer Allahbadia made comments to a contestant referring to parents' intimacy, which brought a fiery outrage. Along with this, Apoorva made some crude comments on women's body parts and used abusive language and remarked on intimacy. Soon after the clips from the show made rounds on social media, internet users remained furious and started criticising her. Not only this, people even headed towards her comment section and started questioning her upbringing and even slut-shamed her. Amid this going on, Apoorva, who didn't directly respond to the entire controversy, chose to keep up with her silence and blocked criticism by disabling her comment sections on the social media handle.
While the YouTube video of IGL's particular episode featuring Ranveer and Apoorva was taken down, the latter refused to do the same and kept the clip's show on her profile's display. Well, in the video, only a simple roasting session was there, and nothing sort of controversial was featured in that short reel, which Apoorva still kept on her profile.
It was on February 12, 2025, when Apoorva Mukhija reached the Khar police station to record her statement. In the clips that went viral, Apoorva was seen covering her face in public and being crowded by the paps. A visibly irritated Apoorva was seen avoiding the paps and going inside of the car to reach the police station with her lawyer after being summoned. Reportedly, the higher officials have been investigating the matter more and more deeply.
