In a recent interview, Arbaaz Khan opened up about his love story with his wife, Sshura Khan and slammed trolls who mocked their age difference.
Actor-producer, Arbaaz Khan got married for the second time to makeup artist, Sshura Khan in 2023. For the unversed, Arbaaz was earlier married to Malaika Arora, and the duo has a son, Arhaan. Moreover, it was 19 years after their marital life when Malaika and Arbaaz parted ways. Now, Arbaaz and Sshura have been living the most blissful phase of their marital bliss and shedding major couple goals.
In an interaction with The Indian Express, Arbaaz Khan revealed his love story with Sshura Khan for the first time. He revealed how he met his ladylove and fell in love with her over time. Adding that his decision to marry Sshura Khan was not sudden, Arbaaz shared that he first saw her on the sets of his 2022 production, Patna Shukla, when she was working with the lead actress, Raveena Tandon. He revealed that he secretly dated Sshura for two years and said:
“It was just a casual meeting, a professional meeting. Post that, when the movie got over, we met a couple of times. When we got married, we had been dating secretly for almost two years. Celebs tend to believe that their relationship should be known publicly, ours was under the wraps for almost two years. Whatever we were looking for in life, matched. We were willing to give each same amount of commitment, love and respect. It didn’t matter beyond that.”

Arbaaz and Sshura wanted to keep their relationship private and wanted to be sure about each other. And once they made up their minds, they surprised everyone with their wedding pictures. However, Arbaaz shared that just like the public, his parents, Salim Khan and Salma Khan, brothers, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan, and sisters, Alvira and Arpita Khan, were unaware that he was dating Sshura. The actor-turned-producer shared:
“Initially, they didn’t know. They knew I was just meeting someone, but when they realised that this is a huge step that I am taking, they were more than happy. In moments like these, you have the support of your loved ones because they know these decisions are made between two mature people.”
In the same interview, Arbaaz shared that he and Sshura spent a lot of time with each other during their dating period. Addressing their age difference, the actor shared that his wife is mature enough to know what she wanted in her life and added that they were in no haste to tie the knot. Arbaaz added:
“Though my wife is much younger than me, it is not like she is 16 years old. She knew what she wanted in her life, and I knew what I wanted in my life. We spent a lot of time together in that one year to really see what we expect out of each other, what do we want, and how are we looking at our future. Such decisions are not made in a hurry.”

Soon after their wedding, Arbaaz and Sshura were trolled for their huge age difference, but they remained unaffected by it all. Revealing the reason behind the same, Arbaaz shared that age is not the only factor that keeps a relationship going and they both were well aware of each other's age. Slamming the trolls, Arbaaz said:
“It’s not like we were not aware of it or we hid it from each other. As a girl, she knew what she was getting into, and as a man, I knew what I was getting into. Two people of the same age can be together and probably separate in a year. So, is age the only factor that keeps relationships going? Ask yourself. In fact, whenever you see there is a very big age gap between marriages, they have far higher success rate.”
