The duo had been in a relationship for quite some time but kept it private and away from the paparazzi's glare. It was in 2019 that they made it official, and soon, they were seen holding hands. Cut to 2024, reports of their breakup made rounds on the internet, and finally, Arjun addressed it.
Recently, Arjun Kapoor was spotted at a Diwali celebration event with the team of his upcoming film, Singham Returns. The film has a huge star cast, and most of them were present at the event. In a clip that has been going viral, a fan asked him, 'Malaika kaisi hai.' However, it wasn't clear, so Arjun confirmed in the reply that he was single. He was quoted as saying:
"Nahi, abhi single hoon, relax."

In September, Malaika Arora lost her father, who committed suicide by jumping off his home's balcony. After Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz, it was Arjun who rushed to be with her family in the most difficult time. Arjun not only took care of the necessary arrangements, he even had an awkward encounter with the Khan family, who seemingly ignored him.
It was in July when murmurs of Arjun and Maliaka's separation made rounds. According to Pinkvilla, Malaika and Arjun's love had expired and they have gone their separate ways. However, they have a special space in each other's hearts. In fact, the couple have chosen to separate but they do not want to violate each other's personal space.
The report further claims that there are no hard feelings or grudges between them. They continue to give each other the same respect even after parting their ways. In fact, this is the reason why Arjun rushed to lend a supporting hand to Malaika in her difficult times when her father passed away.
