Revealing his grandmother's wish, Arjun Kapoor said, "It's very difficult to fulfil my grandmother's wish because she wants grandkids and I can't be the one who can give her that, now we are relying purely on all the married Kapoor khandan ke chirag to fulfill that wish very quickly." Looks like Arjun Kapoor was hinting towards his cousin, Sonam Kapoor, don't you think?
Arjun had lost his mom, Mona Kapoor nine years back to cancer. Sharing his last conversation with her, Arjun Kapoor said, "Before my mum passed I had a very honest chat with her and she had this wish that Anshula and I make it as individual as a human being, not about the success or failure of the work that we do, just as people. And I have always told her (mom) that this is something that I always make sure that Anshula represents the value system my mother has put in and even me to whatever degree. The conversation was to make sure that we become independent, self-sufficient well brought up kids, and represent her value and I think that's an ongoing process that will never end."
Speaking about his mother's wish, Arjun Kapoor said, "My grandparents passed away very suddenly at that age, but for my mom, that last wish was always to see me on the big screen and unfortunately, I couldn't fulfil that because she died 45 days before the release of Ishaqzaade, but I did show her the trailer."

I lost my mother 45 days before I was about to embark on the toughest journey of my life where the world was going to see me. Everything else seems small in comparison."
