Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor have been building their bond with half-sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, since Sridevi's death. Recently, Arjun opened up on not having a perfect family.
We love our families and can’t even think of living without each other, even if we are not physically present with them. One phone call and you will know that your family members will be there for you. Boney Kapoor and his first wife, Mona Shourie Kapoor were blessed with two children, Arjun Kapoor, and Anshula Kapoor. Later, Boney Kapoor had tied the knot with Sridevi and they had become parents of two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. While Boney Kapoor was a father of four kids, but due to the rift between Mona and Sridevi, the kids never got the opportunity to gel well.
It was on February 24, 2018, when we had woken up to the unbelievable news of Boney Kapoor’s second wife, Sridevi's untimely demise. Apart from the cry among media and the masses, one could spot Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor standing by their grieving father, Boney Kapoor, and their half-siblings, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor like a pillar. And since then, be it shutting down trolls, enjoying a chill time with family, pulling each other’s leg, posting encouragements for each other and what not, Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor have been giving us modern family goals and we totally love it.

I hate creating this fake perception that we have are one happy family living under the roof and discussing everything. We have discussed many things, and we continue to do that. I am somebody who believes in letting people do what they choose to do. I don’t interfare. But yes, if one of them comes to me to talk about something, I’m always there to give my two cents on my experience.”

In an episode of Koffee With Karan, brodcasted on November 28, 2019, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor had appeared together and had revealed that their family’s WhatsApp group is named ‘Dad’s kids’. In the group, they all update each other about their lives.
On the other hand, in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Arjun Kapoor had talked about his equation with his step-sisters', Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. He had shared that two bad moments in their lives got them together, and had also shared that it will be incorrect to call them a perfect family and they are trying to co-exist. He had mentioned:
“Few things are difficult which you cannot articulate. I think for 4 of us (Anshula, Janhvi, Khushi, and Arjun) it’s incomplete in a certain way. If I say we are a perfect family that will be incorrect. It’s not about different opinions, we still are different families who are trying to merge and coexist with each other.”
Talking about meeting his step-sisters, Janhvi and Khushi after 20 years of their birth, Arjun Kapoor had said:
“We met after 20 years of Janhvi and Khushi being born. I am 35 now, Anshula is 28 we are matured adults. And we are finding it quite tough to merge just like that. And I also think imperfection is quite fascinating, because then you learn to coexist and you learn to respect the differences. In a way we are very similar too as we have our dad’s genes.”
