Arjun Kapoor recently opened up about his late mother, Mona Kapoor. The 'Panipat' actor shared that his sister, Anshula Kapoor is their mother's replica who takes cares of things now.
The worst feeling in this world is to lose one's mother, and we can't even imagine what it must be for those who lose their loving mothers at an early age in their lives. Bollywood heart-throb, Arjun Kapoor is a living example of the same when he lost his mother, Mona Kapoor on March 25, 2012. Arjun Kapoor, on March 25, 2019, on his mother's seventh death anniversary had penned an emotional note on his Instagram handle which could bring tears to anybody's eyes. Sharing the following picture, Arjun Kapoor had written, "You were my smile & I hope wherever you are I make you smile still... it’s been 7 years since you left us & all your son is asking you is come back na, please."
Arjun Kapoor, in a recent interview with the Mumbai Mirror, opened up about his life post the death of his mother. Sharing that they relive the memories of their late mother through pictures, Arjun shared, "That's the way we relive memories of our mother (Mona Kapoor). She used to save pictures from all our birthday parties and other important moments. By the time she passed away, she had a drawer full of albums dating back to the 1970s."
The Panipat actor further added, "Anshula is a replica of her and takes care of these things now. We live in the same house and take each other for granted, not saying in person how much we love each other, but we use social media for it."
Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor’s mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor passed away in the year 2012 after battling with cancer. Ever since then, Arjun and Anshula became pillars of strength for each other. On December 4, 2018, Anshula was feeling low and was missing her mother. And the doting brother, Arjun came to her rescue to calm her down. Anshula Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle and had written a heartfelt message with a throwback picture of her mom, "Come back na Ma Can you ever become too old to stop needing your mom’s hugs? Being an “adult” is hard, but it sucks extra hard on some days. Today is one such day where all I want is to have kadi chaawal with mom & hear her laugh one more time. Miss you Ma. #AlwaysAndForever."
The doting brother, Arjun had reposted the pic and calmed his sister to stay strong. Arjun had captioned the reposted photo as, "I know she is my sister and I can pick up the phone and tell her this... But strangely sometimes it is easier posting things. It feels cathartic. It's okay Anshula Kapoor, you don't have to be an adult all the time. You handle me, the most useless man-child in the world and you still manage to keep your sanity. It's fine. We will take things one day at a time."
Arjun concluded the post by adding how he always strives to be a reflection of his mother. He had written, "I wish I could be more like her or just give you the time with her that you crave but the reality is that I can't even be like her even if I try. She was special and unique and you are more of an extension of her than I can be... Love you. I'll be home soon to trouble you."
