Bollywood actor, Aayush Sharma's grandfather, Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma had taken his last breath at the age of ninety-four. Earlier, it was reported that the former union minister had suffered a brain stroke. It came as a shock as the entire Sharma and Khan family had hosted a grand Eid bash just a couple of days ago. Recently, Aayush Sharma's wife, Arpita Khan Sharma penned a heartfelt goodbye note for him.
It is just a matter of time, when a while ago Aayush had requested the media not to share false rumours but rather pray for his grandfather. On May 10, 2022, Aayush had appealed to everyone to not spread rumours and false reports of his grandfather's demise. He had asked for prayers for his grandfather's good health. He had written:
"My grandfather Pandit Sukh Ram is a strong soul and is fighting back bravely. To all the reports and rumours, in this testing time for our entire family, I kindly request everyone to pray for his well-being and refrain from the media from paying heed to any false news. We would keep you updated and informed about his health at every step. Heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers."

On May 11, 2022, Arpita Khan Sharma took to her Instagram handle and posted a priceless picture of Aayush's grandfather with his grandson, Ahil. Alongside it, she penned a heartfelt note and thanked him for showering his love on the next generation of the Sharmas. She wrote:
"Rest in peace Dadaji. We are eternally grateful to have been blessed by you."
Aayush had announced the departure of his grandfather with an Instagram post. He had posted a long note, and had expressed his pain of saying a final goodbye to his grandfather. His note could be read as:
"With a very heavy heart, I bid farewell to my beloved Dadaji Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma. Even though you're gone, I know you'll always be with me, guiding me and looking over me and blessing me like you always do. Rest in peace Dadaji, you will be missed.
