Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan's drug case has been taking new angles every other day. Now, his bail plea has been rescheduled and will be heard on Wednesday!
Shah Rukh Khan and his family is going through a tough time as his son, Aryan Khan is in jail. Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2, 2021, when the team had raided a Mumbai cruise ship, where he was with his friends. While the hopes were high that he will soon get out, in the court hearing on October 8, 2021, Aryan was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
Aryan Khan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde had stated that his client wasn't involved in drugs and was invited to the cruise party just to add some 'glamour' to it. However, the Mumbai court had rejected his bail plea. Metropolitan Magistrate, RM Nerlikar had stated that it is not maintainable, which means the forum chosen to seek bail was incorrect. A tweet by ANI had revealed, "Mumbai court sends Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant and six others to judicial custody for 14 days in drugs seizure at cruise ship Court says the case will now be heard by special NDPS court."

Aryan Khan's blea plea was supposed to be addressed today. However, now it has been postponed to Wednesday, i.e., on October 13, 2021. Aryan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde confirmed the same stating that his bail plea will be heard in the Mumbai Sessions Court. He also added that lawyer, Amit Desai, who is representing Aryan Khan has asked to schedule his bail hearing for Wednesday. To this, special prosecutor, Sethna from NCB's side said, “As per Desai's submissions, his matter deserves priority. The other matters, their quantities are different. It will not be humanely possible for us to file replies to all applications. Let the matters start from the first produced.”
Earlier before the plea was rescheduled for Wednesday, Aryan Khan's mother, Gauri Khan was spotted leaving her house, Mannat to be with her son. NCB officials were also spotted arriving at the court for Aryan Khan's drug case hearing.
After Aryan’s bail was rejected by the court on October 8, 2021, a video clip had gone viral, in which it was claimed that Aryan’s mother, Gauri Khan, was seen crying inconsolably in her car. The video was heartbreaking as it had shown her helplessness. While people were earlier trolling Aryan and his family, later, with time, they have come out in support of SRK’s family. In a reaction to NCB's plea, Aryan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde had clearly stated that his client (Aryan) was invited to the cruise party by a person connected to the film industry, just to add some 'glamour'. Satish had also added that Aryan had entered the party as a 'VVIP' guest. He had stated, "A person connected with Bollywood wanted to add glamour to the cruise and hence invited him." Further in the statement, Satish Maneshinde had also added that his client, Aryan Khan has no connection, bond, or even knowledge about the organisers of the cruise party. He had explained in his statement, "I (Aryan) am nowhere connected with any other person in cruise, or other arrested accused. I have no connection with the organisers or the other arrested accused." However, Aryan Khan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, had accepted that his client knows Arbaaz Merchant and had added that detaining his client just to know a person is utterly unconvincing. Satish had said, "He (Merchant) is my friend, I'm not denying that. But mere knowledge of a person is not enough to keep me in custody." Talking about the other side of the story, NCB, in their statement to the court, had stated that they want to exceed Aryan Khan's custody to confront him with another accused, Archit Kumar, after they got access to their WhatsApp chats. However, Aryan's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, had reacted to it by saying that the chats on the basis of which NCB wants the court to deny his client's bail are nothing but discussions about playing football. He had said, "Achit and I (Aryan) have discussed football about a year back." And Satish had added, "football doesn't contain any drugs". Apart from Aryan Khan, five others, who were arrested, are Munmum Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhoker.
