In a recent interview, Asha Parekh reacted to Kangana Ranaut's claims when the latter said true friendship doesn't exist in Bollywood.
Kangana Ranaut is known for her unfiltered comments. Moreover, she is often seen taking to her social media handles to reveal various secrets of the film industry and bashing people from Bollywood. Apart from her popular controversy with ace filmmaker, Karan Johar, over the years, Kangana also talks about various matters that land her in some unpredicted troubles and trolls. Without paying any heed to them, Kangana keeps opening up about whatever she feels. However, now, one of her claims regarding Bollywood friendships was strongly opposed by Asha Parekh.
Recently, Asha Parekh graced a News18 India event. There, she opened up on an array of things related to her year-long journey in the industry. She was also asked about Kangana Ranaut's claims that Bollywood lacks genuine friendships. However, Asha strongly objected to this and gave the example of how she still maintains strong friendships with her contemporaries, Waheeda Rahman and Helen. Talking about the same, Asha said:
"Have you seen how close me Waheeda ji and Helen ji are? We have a strong friendship.”

Further, in the same conversation, Asha continued by saying that it may be Kangana's choice whether she wants to befriend someone or not. However, strongly disagreeing with what Kangana spoke from her experience, Asha added:
“Ab woh Kangana ji se puchiye na, ki kyu nahi hai? Aapne aisa kyu nahi pucha, ki aap aise kyu bol rahe hai? It is a personal choice of everyone, whether they want to be friends with someone or not. So, you must ask her ki woh kyu nahi dosti karti? Mere saath toh bohot achchi hai woh.”

Earlier, in an interview with Curly Tales, Kangana was asked to name three people from Bollywood, whom she would invite for a Sunday brunch at her house. To this, just like always, without any hesitation, she replied:
“Bollywood se toh vaise iss sewa ke laayak koi hai nahi. Ghar toh bulao hi nahi bilkul bhi. Baahar kahin mil lo toh theek hai, ghar mat bulao. Nahi, bilkul nahi. Mere dost banne laayak hai hi nahi yeh log. Qualification chahiye hoti hai uske liye.”
